He used to 'shout'. This is him 'singing' as best he can without throwing out his voice. I don't think he had a choice in the end which is kind of sad.

I don’t know what he started doing with his voice but he’s definitely decided that singing in more of a falsetto tone works better for him. I prefer the way he used to sound, but whatever. To each his own.

What's this song about? Anyone know? I loved the lyrics
@akarasnj7 жыл бұрын
robert zoolander it's about their old bassist who died from leukemia if I remember.
@ama71426 жыл бұрын
btw its not about their old bassist. Number 1 because the bassist died in 2004 and Chris wrote this in 2000 and number 2, in the Saves The Day documentary, Chris said that the band got into an car accident while on tour for Through being cool and he wrote At Your Funeral after that because they were near death, as they woke up in the middle of the road bleeding.
@michaelpalmer53512 жыл бұрын
He was on Chris DeMakes' podcast and said it was about a band that he looked up to and hung out with - only to find they weren't what he thought they were (some kind of great artists and musical heroes) and instead only wanted to sit around getting stoned.

Literally all that happened was his voice changed. It actually sounds great if you let it grow on you. Some people just dont like it which i understand, but basically because of his voice change, he cant sing like he did in 2001 and back.
@innitthough7126 жыл бұрын
I agree, his voice is kinda bad now - but that's how it is, and this is actually pretty enjoyable. The only songs it sounds THAT bad on is stuff from Through Being Cool, and possibly a few other songs from afterward. This actually sounds pretty good!
