I feel bad for Saves the Day. They got ignored during their creative apex. The singer fried his vocal chords and now has to sing super high pitched. It turns a lot of people away from what is actually INCREDIBLE songwriting.

The original song's chord progression goes as I wrote below. I don't have a guitar within reach but I've got a piano right here. Just remember: The guy in the video playing it in a different key using a capo, I think maybe it's Eb? I don't know. This is how Saves the Day plays it: (D) This song will become (A) The anthem of (E) Your under- (G) ground {repeat for next line, until: (A) If I flooded out your (E) house Do you (G) think you'd make it (A) out {repeat for next line. CHORUS: (G) And at (D) your funeral (A) I will sing (G) the (D) requiem (A) {repeat for rest of chorus. I *think* that's it. I'm not 100% certain about some parts, but ^that's^ the right key and the correct chords. If you wanna get fancy with theory, one guitar plays some seventh chords in the 2nd and 3rd verses while the other plays power chords, but yeah. As with all songs, there are many, *many* chord-master and tab versions online that are dead wrong. The easiest way to know if you're playing it correctly is to 1) tune your guitar, and 2) play these chords along to the record on your stereo.
