I would like to express my gratitude for your dedication and the time you have invested into these videos. It really assisted me with my ATPL exams. Your contributions have been so valuable that, God knows, things might have gone differently if you weren't here. The PadPilot books are excellent resources, and while the Qdatabase is essential, it can also be overwhelming and potentially discouraging. Your videos have provided me with a means to relax the mind. You helped me fill in the holes, and I even discovered some holes I didn’t even know I had! As someone who aspires to become a flight instructor, I find your work to be highly inspiring. When the time comes, I'll be making my own KZbin channel that will help me spread the aviation knowledge, but rest assured that I'll be giving my students your channel anyway. Thank you for your efforts. P.S. The intro made my day and nearly caused me to spill my coffee! 😅

Great video! I thought I heard you say that they don't use ILS back course in Europe, is that correct?

Excellent episode. First, I see what you did there, at 2:30, the left lobe is yellow and the right is blue. (Which is exactly why very old CDIs show a blue arc area for needle left of the middle, as in 'fly left' when the aircraft is in the right blue sector and vice versa with the yellow arc area for needle right indication). Much appreciated, it's like a miniature Easter egg. Also very good explanation of the localizer coverage distances (or volume, or what ever it is called). I don't often see that this well done. Finally, interesting that you hear a "duuh-de" (dash-dot) signal, where I have always thought of it as a "de-duuh" (dot-dash) signal for the middle marker. Now that I have put the idea in your head, please do tell what your hear the next time you listen to a middle marker.

Great Video, as always. Was there a slight error in your localizer antenna coverage? 35degrees up to 10NM like in your video. But the 10degree coverage should extend to 18NM, no (instead of the 25NM in your video)? Looking forward to be corrected or confirmed - Thank you

25miles for the 10degree part. I think in the USA some localiser ranges have been reduced to 18nm for the 10 degree part so that competing localisers don't interfere with each other.
