This kid has GOAT level talent in him, and he is light years ahead of the curve mentally. That alone will put him in the limelight. If he can stay healthy and focused, I am all in on King Felix.

He's so young but already making strides in improving his game. I like that from him. Hope he continues working on his game. I see him dominating in the challengers & qualies, on the way to maybe top 60 at year's end to compete in the next-gen finals. Wild prediction: He'll win 4 or more GS titles in his career. Would be among the top Canadians of his generation.

@Serenas Temper Good point. USA definitely has the resources but I presume he has been able to pay for those US resources at least early on with financial support from Tennis Canada's National Training Centre of which he's been a member since age 14.

I find it interesting that he thinks his coach (for 4 years) knows him better than his parents. I would not assume that to be the case especially for an 18 year old. I guess getting plunged into this career path at such a young age changes a lot of things. Interesting.

dor ryoku I can almost guarantee his parents where hard on him when he played tennis as a teen and him working with his coach was his first time with a person who cared about him more then just results but helped him actually find a true passion for tennis

@@azuazu5966 That's the problem for their evolution, back in the days do you think there there is the same thing for ROger Rafa Nole, no there is not, so they are really focused on their work, butif this kidsthink they're having a lot of attention on media they will not be cincentrated.
@maralorca65185 жыл бұрын
@@nebyousamuel7190 Well if that's the case, then by all means give them attention and call them out if they slack off. Motivate them so they'd try their best to win every match. You don't want them ending up like the lost-gen. We want the nextgens to not just fill the void after the big 3, we want them to be great so tennis will continue to be exciting.
@harrishkrishna50865 жыл бұрын
I think that isn't true! Back then, you have to realise that media wasn't as omnipresent as it is now. Presence of social media, internet and streaming services has only made info more accesible to the genral public. However, media attention has always existed even during Rafa, Roger and Novak's time when they were about Felix's age. This may be due to Felix being as talented as the likes of those three. I mean look at him, at the tender age of 18; he's already shattered all kinds of records! What you're saying may be slightly true in terms of the frequency of these kinda things and the gravity of media exposure. On the contrary, this does not necessarily translate to greater media attention and that's where this is untrue.
