When I was growing up as a child in the 80s, we ate the roti canai without it being torn up and we added 2 soft boiled eggs and the curry sauce. Give it a try , next time , eat at a mamak shop, order extra 2 half boiled eggs with soft jelly egg whites and powdery soft egg yolks cracked over the roti canai and fish curry , or mutton curry. And hot teh tarik. Yum yum . Heaven.

If like, after u finish ordering the 'roti' add the word 'banjir" then they will pour the gravy onto the 'roti' so ur roti will be soaked in the gravy.. which helps soften the roti if they pre cooked the roti ahead of time for the peak hours.. Combination of the gravy usually we eat is 'kuah dhal and sambal' 2nd combination 'dhal and curry'... I usually like the 1st combination of the gravy. I u Roti=bread Banjir=flood Kuah=gravy Sambal=red sauce (chilly sauce) Dhal=yellow gravy Curry=orange, brown the colour is usually is from the based of the curry like chicken, fish or meat(beef).

another great vlog with so yummy hearty breakfast to start the day, I can watch this 10 times or more over and over esp how you captured the morning bright sunny day, clear blue sky and wonderful how you walked along those prewar old heritage shophouses .. love the ambience you captured .. and the background music and songs you choosed to match each spot. haha the lyrics of the song with your cat encounter... the roti with tea tarik, the duck meat Kuey teow soup, the herbal kuey teow soup all so yummy looking.. I hungry now lol watching.. the soya sauce best added to the cut chilli and mix it together before dipping to fish ball or into your soup.. it enhance the taste of dipping spicy and hot soya sauce flavour and goes well with bland tasting food eg Kuey teow or fish ball or meat or fish slices ,etc in noodles, etc.. Kuey teow yes one of my favourite choice of noodle esp those Kuey teow that is smooth and narrow in width and thin. The Kuey teow that you filmed looked like what I will like.. Thanks for going around trying the street food and sharing about the food and location if you think it deserve it

One of my favorite foods in Penang was roti canai. I had roti at many locations all over the island, but my favorite roti guy was in Teluk Bahang, off the beaten track in northwestern tip of Penang, a lovely secluded fishing village. I challenged myself to eat 1000 roti canai in one year from this humble food stall. Did I succeed? lol. It was fun trying and Teluk Bahang was a nice getaway.
