Penang was derived from the word Pinang , which is the Malay language for the Pinang Palm Trees scattered around this Island in olden days. While in Penang , can sample the Penang Assam Laksa but substitute the thick white tasteless rice noodles to the more favourable light yellow egg noodles! The Indian rojak , Char Kwai Teow stirred fried hor fun noodles , Penang old coffee , Skewer BBQ Satay with marinated chicken , beef or mutton meats with the peanut spiced gravy dip , Prawn noodles , Hainanese Chicken Rice with meshed ginger sauce dip , Cendol iced coconut milk with palm sugar dessert , Wanton noodles ( Soupy or Dry ) , Egg Tarts etc., Love Tommy-Boy's arts of Penang murals , try lighter shades to give more light & dimensions to the colours! Penang is not only d island as theres also the mainland penang and d island itself is not really small if you go till d end part of balik pulau ull realize d actual size..and d correct term for d majority race is MALAY...chinese indian malay are Malaysian
