@@MET4LIST As a drummer I started playing atreyu and bullet at the same time.. I find that Killswitch as an influence came just afterwards when they switched to the new singer. At that point we were doing a lot of KSE with all that remains and as I lay dying with A7X on guitar to grab more of the melodic prog feel so it all falls together, honestly.

I was a huge fan of Atreyu for years but wasn’t able to see them live until many years later and they did not disappoint! I’ll never forget watching them toss their guitars back and forth across the stage in the middle of their songs. One of the most memorable live performances I’ve seen. It was blistering hot in Houston, I was standing about 5 feet from the barricade in front of the stage in a giant mass of hot sweaty people and felt like I was on the edge of heat stroke but it was incredible and I was just happy to be seeing them live for the first time.

MetalMonkey I'd say start with stuff like "The Crimson" and "Right Side Of The Bed". That's who they were and grew back to be in Long Live. Yeah, "Ex's And Oh's", "Becoming The Bull", and "Storm To Pass" are also incredible songs, but Alex (the lead screamer) was really pushed by the record company into singing as well with Brandon (the other singer), and that's what makes those songs not as amazing as the others. Anyway, those are some songs to start out with. Oh, and check out the album, Long Live lol
