I have the ATS 20 and the ATS 20+ and I have become enamoured with both. At $50 US, both were a fine purchase and both are well used by me. With the sensitivity, selectivity and some immunity against receiver overload from high powered FM broadcast, the both are a fine replacement for both digital and linear tuned receivers of more expensive portables from China. The AM, FM, SW, LW, MW, radios without SSB cost more and have less features than the ATS. I even rigged the ATS 20 up in my big truck for when I go OTR across the country. It has been vibrated, bumped, thrown about the cab when a small SUV got under my trailer, and it keeps on working. The ATS 20+ stays at home for when I get bored with TV, I've got some wholesome entertainment to turn to. Get one!

Now available for as little as £24 delivered to the UK from AliExpress. I'll be upgrading mine with a 3.3Ah LiPo and charging it from a solar panel in the garden, so it should be free to run most of the year round. Thanks for the review.

I had to build an antenna because my cats liked to bat the provided antenna around, silly cats. I can hang an antenna in the window, and run it to my BNC adaptor, which ever one I an going to use that day. SWL is a good and fun hobby, especially on days I do not want to get out one of my transceivers. No CW, but that is not an issue for the moment.

I can't remember if it does this on the original software but if you update to the latest, you can slightly turn the dial one way and then press in the encoder and it will scan through in that direction. Very handy.

What does S2 and 80% mean in the lower right corner of the screen?

s1-9 is received signal strength with 9 being the best and the 80% is maybe noise or power but I'm not sure what setting he is using because you can change that area to show different things.
