In this video, Clint explains the internal upgrades ATS makes to the 47RE & 48RE Transmissions. We have been manufacturing our ATS Billet Reverse Servo, Billet 2nd Gear Servo, Billet Band Strut, Billet Band Anchor, Billet Direct Anchor, Billet Intermediate 2nd Gear Accumulator Piston and Billet Direct Piston and including them in all of our stages for many years now.

I had an ATS stage 2. Didn’t have any of the billet parts that he said it did 🤣 stock cast band anchor, strut and lever. ATS Customer service/warranty and transmission is JUNK

Stage 2 isn’t much. Stage 4 will have a lot more shiny stuff. And I needed a valve body and some other stuff, and they got the valve body built and shipped with the other stuff within a week to kc from Arvada. Great guys and great stuff. Maybe you should go to one of their dyno days or Diesels on the mountain and then see what you think....

There are standard parts that a 48re should have FROM THE FACTORY. ATS will take these parts out and put weaker parts in for their "stage 1" or other lesser "stages". They will put smaller 47 pumps in them. They will put 4 pinion aluminum or 5 pinion planets in them. ALL 48REs had high volume pumps and full 6 pinion planets FROM THE FACTORY. So, your core is worth more than the transmission you are getting from them. If you want to get "educated" about the 48re and 47re transmissions, check out the Precision Transmission KZbin channel. All he does are teardown videos but you'll see what all these "performance" rebuilders have been scamming off on the consumers as he disassembles them. There are MINIMUM parts that should go into 47rh, 47re and 48re transmissions. I guarantee you that if you get anything less than a mid "stage" transmission, it won't have the MINIMUM factory parts in it.

I have s 2000 / 3500 Dodge duelly - 5.9 cummins .cost to install a bullet transmiooion + transmissiom and any other parts recommended.?

I have no overdrive at all in my 48re, i changed out the governor solenoid and it didn’t fix it at all 😡

@@ATSDieselPerformance sorry Clint but you sound like you don't know what this transmission is all about. What are the actual differences between your "stages"? Clutch counts? Pump sizes? Shaft hardnesses? Line pressures? You don't have to give away your "Secrets", if there are even any left in a 60 year old transmission design, but you could have given more real information in an organized way. On another note, I did really like your 68rfe vs Allison videos and your diesel emissions videos. So, I know you are a really smart guy. But this just seemed very hasty and poorly executed video.

I’ll buy the Ats over a CA , the CA is 4k more, and you don’t have to pull the adapter plate and grind the block, its s plug n play setup, and the controller ats uses is way better than CA’s!

While we do know you guys build other good stuff, we all know your transmissions are junk. Cmon now you aren't fooling anyone.

I'll have to disagree, I've got 2 ats transmission in two seperate cummins trucks both with a large fuel and air. My 48re has over 200k miles with 100%exergy inj, large pump, s300 charger ... if you act like a wild maniac you'll break anything mechanical that's just common sense. Sure people may have some issues but you tell me what company on the planet builds a perfect mechanical component and I'll laugh with you Everybody wants to always knock ats they might not be perfect but who is

@@taylorj9920 I've had nothing but issues with mine. It hasn't lasted long enough to rag on... 2500 miles on the first one and the second is at 300 miles and has all the same issues the first had.
