I don’t have a problem with the emissions system, I have a problem with the unrealistic count down mandated by the epa. If something goes wrong, I will fix it, that being said it may not be with in 150 miles! I need to get home first! Unfortunately the countdown left me stranded and I had to delete the entire system. Shame on the EPA for the countdown till 5mph!

Great video. I have a 2013 Ram diesel with only 50k miles on it. At around 30k it started giving me messages to have the DEF system serviced. After a while the messages go away and come back regularly. On my vacation a warning came on that in 300 miles the 15mph cripple will happen. I drove on and after a few of these messages they stopped and I continued on my 2500 mile vacation trip. I want to delete my truck and reprogram the computer. However after watching your video it seems that instead of removing and replacing the exhaust system, I could just drill out the DPF. What do you think?

Nope. ECU will notice the lack of back pressure at the DPF and cripple you. You could stealth delete by drilling it out and changing tuning.

Last summer I was towing my boat and looked in the passenger mirror and there was slight black smoke coming out the back I was slowly loosing boost. I pulled off the road had my pops come grab the boat, after an hour with the truck sitting there I fired it back up and it was still the same I took off and drove the truck back to his place about 10 miles away I was rolling coal on a stock truck. I had an injector that was stuck open that’s why I was rolling coal not a bad turbo. I had gotten the exhaust manifold hot and it warped. I took off the exhaust system as well it wasn’t too bad to do and cleaned it with a vacuum and air compressor and then a dpf liquid cleaner. Bad turbo = white smoke, lack of boost = warped exhaust manifold, you may have a crack in the honey comb in your dpf system. What’s your truck acting like? The mechanic charged me $1,300 to get the exhaust manifold redone with new gaskets.

I appreciate the impressive engineering here, but I'd still rather see a $500 annual "vehicle enthusiast carbon permit" because 200,000 people burning diesel in an open pit instead of driving thier heavily tuned trucks will still be less polluting than the Amazon and Walmart shopping an equivalent number of people do annually, buying everything from heavy pollutant countries is apparently fine with the EPA. All the unrestricted diesel enthusiasts in the world combined would still not add up to .01% of what emissions seaborne transport just to the USA creates annually, not even including the actual production of the goods on those ships🤦♂️

@ATSDieselPerformance4 жыл бұрын
Crown Lifestylist our 2015 running 650-700hp just passed emissions in Colorado with .01% opacity. We are installing all the testing equipment to begin emissions testing in house. 800hp is the top end of where you will see some soot loading. As with most high horsepower vehicles there are some trades off at the highest power levels and can be turned up and down accordingly depending on application. Go up to 800hp for the track, maybe knock it down to 650-700hp to tow and DD. Again, let’s remember they are ZERO other legal options like this on the market.
