ATS/ETS2 map editor background image tutorial

NOTE: This tutorial uses KZbin annotations. Make sure to enable them as well also check the video description for what programs to obtain before continuing with the video.

This map editor background image tutorial is for Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.19.xx and American Truck Simulator version 1.0.0 onwards and recorded with the Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.22.2 in use.

@@amiamidudu2169 i think the experience of creating it is what gives it value. Also it won’t ruin you game bcs it’s a mod, you can remove it any time and the game saves will stay the same.

Hello! My standard ETS2 does not allow viewing of the background map and not when I run the steps of the video, the map background appears truncated, with several mixed colors, I'm confused. It will be a problem in version I use? Which version do you use?

make sure the background you are loading is divisible by 4. The game is set to 4km per pixel no floating numbers

Can someone help me with map editor? Whenever i go to edit, my map is blank. After i place some prefabs, roads, and models and then save, when i go to reopen not only does the map not show up in the open list but when i do manage to open it, everything that i placed is gone as if i started a new map. How do i get the editor to load my saved map successfully so that i can resume where i left off?

what you need to do to save your map: just create a user_map folder in your mods folder, then inside the user_map, create another folder called map

eros sutrisno because you have mods in your folder,only mods that editor accepts are map mods,trailer mods and traffic mods (etc Jazzycat AI pack)

Hello. I was wondering if you could help me fix my map's bg image? Some how or another it has been resized by another file. I have C2C and Mexuscan installed. Anyway, the bg map image is now much smaller than the actual map. Like 1/4 the size. I am very confused what could have caused this. So far I've tried deactivating and reordering the map add ons but so far nothing seems to be fixing the issue. Please HELP if you have knowledge on this subject. Thanks in advance! Happy Trucking (=

Spellegies Mine was caused by a mod conflict. I don't use the editor because I still haven't figured out how to get it working. I really wish this game used a stand-alone editor just like most other major titles. This editor (imo) is garbage. Too damn difficult for no reason.

This map will contain completely new and made up Australian companies along with all the towns and cities in all of the states. Спасибо, получилось, только папку base архивную я переименовал в map и файлик editor_data.sii скопировал из оригинала игры и прописал вместо Европы свою карту. Иначе редактор запускался с проблемами, а так - всё норм! спасибо!!!!
