Sorry about the game crashing, that's always a bummer 😕 I ran into some issues myself and have dialed back the amount of map mods I'm using. If only SCS was a bit quicker with their releases we could have all these areas in the base game!

This an enjoyable series. I am prejudiced against the mods I think because my mind wants to feel like it's not "official" or not as good as the "real" content, but it seems pretty well made. It's nice to see a wider variety of landscape.

Honestly I'd argue some areas of ProMods and Reforma are BETTER than official locations, though SCS has been improving a lot in their mapping over the last few years.

I think the mods definitely take more risks with content, in a good way, although I get why SCS wouldn't want to do that with official content. So some of the mod content is just bolder and more daring stuff, which adds a whole new level to the game.

I feel like most of the map mods have a bit of a wilder edge to them. I imagine it's tricky to make these massive areas with smaller teams. :)

Yeah, tough to have a -$20k swing in money after all that work. But stuff happens. Apparently there is an issue with the US Virgin Islands textures or something. Best avoided for the moment. :)

That's a shame it didn't work out. Great driving to get you through Kingston. Random question: is traffic density less at night? It seems like it is, but not sure if that's other peoples experience.

I feel like traffic is less at night, too, but I've never been 100% sure if it's true or not. Sometimes the nights can have a lot of traffic in really weird places. :)

I'll ask around and see if anyone else is having those crashes. I'll also test it myself shortly. Maybe try it without the ferry killer? Hm... I'll test it out. EDIT: What do you think the issue was?

Sounds good. I suspect it might be an issue with Ferry Killer file. The ferries don't line up right on the maps, the crash always happened in the ferry, and the truck was oriented wrong on arrival (pointing inside the ferry). The mod seems so stable and developed, but the ferries do not. Since that's the only place that seems derpy, I wonder if that ferry killer file is creating the problems.

Okay so I tested in my own game, and I was able to get to Christiansted just fine, though I was facing the wrong way off the ferry and had to back out. But specifically in Charlotte Amalie, when I drove off the ferry, my game froze. I'm going to seek assistance on the GMC Logistics Discord.

Yes, that's pretty much what happened with me too. The crashes happened when I tried to back up out of Christiansted, but also when I tried to drive out of Charlotte Amalie, where I was facing forward. I also noticed that my nuvi still showed I was in San Juan when I arrived at the ferry in both places. This happened for you with the Ferry Killer mod installed?

@@ZillaBlitzPC The Christiansted issue wasn't as bad for me. I was facing the wrong direction, but my map showed the right place and I was able to drive out perfectly fine, no crashes. but Charlotte Amalie froze exactly like yours did. I posted a support ticket on Discord to see if they'll look at my game log and see what's going on.

@@ZillaBlitzPC It's not Ferry Killer. It's an issue with the Caribbean Map itself. There are apparently too many high poly assets in a small area in Charlotte Amalie, causing the freeze. The team behind the mod is aware of it but just avoid that specific city for now. As for the Christiansted issue, it shouldn't crash or freeze there, but you will come out of the ferry facing the wrong way. Just don't take any double trailers there haha. If you want to be super safe, you can always have Steam verify the integrity of the game files. But yeah, for now just avoid the Virgin Islands. I haven't had that issue yet in Cuba, Aruba, the Bahamas, the Caymans, or Venezuela.

Yeah, stuff happens, no worries. I think it might be the additional mod I installed that reduces the number of ferries in the Caribbean. I'll do some testing, but we'll be heading to Alaska soon in either case. :)
