My favorite part of this song is from 1:46 - 2:06 . My main reason for this part resonating with me so much is simply the fear of losing my friends. I know it used to be common that as people grew older, they'd grow apart from their friends and eventually stop talking to them all together, and while I understand this song may be more for missing someone who you once were in love with, I love my friends with all my heart and the thought of ever losing them or to stop talking to them fills me with dread. Most of us are in college right now, and since I'm working as well, I don't get to spend as much time as I wish I could with them, but I still find time whenever possible to do so. My biggest wish when I grow older is that even when we're all in our 50's and 60's, where still having fun playing games with each other.

I used to imagine how this song would sound if and when it was complete, and I always thought the singing would get a little louder and more anguished in the final chorus, when the lyrics have changed. However, the way you made it quieter was unexpected, but honestly I think it works a lot better - at first the slightly louder defiance, "I'm *not* missing you", and then the quiet acceptance when you let your real emotions be spoken. As much as its not a positive memory, I have a friend who completely cut contact after saying that they were going to use my original characters for a video game idea they had. My parents got their divorce papers finalized and my mom hasn't talked to me or my dad since Christmas, I know my dad's in a lot of pain emotionally and he had a hard time trying to get his feelings into words so I showed him this song, we both cried for about 4 hours straight. I used to be very close to my first best friend, but then I had to move. Whenever thinking about her makes me emotional, I hope she's okay and living her best life. She once gave me this small plastic flower and if I ever find an actual flower that looks like it I will find a way to get it as fast as I can. (It's a pink and purple rose, I think purple is on the inside of the flower)
