This video is a life saver. I couldn't figure out how to get the camera and eye pieces in focus at the same time until I found out you can adjust the trinocular port. Thanks, Amscope!

Thanks for this video and product, I'll go to amazon, get one and see how it goes. I would have thought you'd want to remove that aux battery pack to make your camera body lighter and less cumbersome on the scope. Thumbs UP of course!

What adapter do you recommend for a Canon 50d? I will be attaching it to a trinocular & the trinocular port is 23mm. I can take one of my microscope eyepieces & it fits right in the trinocular snuggly. Thanks for a great video!

I plan on getting an adapter, and I have a Nikon D3200, and a microscope with 10x eyepieces. I want to make sure I can still get the magnification for my photos because the lens of the adapter is 2x..

Hello, I have read multiple reviews through amazon for the Canon adapter, and it seems that there have been serious issues with "chromatic aberration" in the 1st version. Have these problems been resolved in the 3rd version ? Are there any image samples as well to see ?

Hi there! Excellent presentation! I have a 7x-45x stereo trinocular microscope and the adapter for my Canon 7d camera, but I am experiencing the following problem: when I place the camera (with the adapter) on the trinocular port everything goes black, while at the same time I can see my specimens fine from the eyepieces. Am I doing something wrong? Have I not pulled a lever or something like that?
@AmScopeVideos8 жыл бұрын
More than likely you have not pulled the shutter pin. If you have the standard SM head then there will be a metal pin on the side of the microscope head. You will pull that to the outer position to open the trinocular port. That shutter pin transfers light from the left eyepiece to the trinocular port and vice versa.

hi! I have Canon PowerShot S3 IS. Can I use it with microscop?
@AmScopeVideos10 жыл бұрын
no, it will only work with DSLR Cameras. The powershot does not have a removable lens and thus, this adapter cannot be used.

We suppose so. But we don't have any adapters for those cameras.

Will it show full field of view which we can see from eyepiece ? or it will show show portion of it?
@krecikowi8 жыл бұрын
Good question, I'm trying to find this one also. Did you find answer?
@AmScopeVideos8 жыл бұрын
+Mole +Ishan Dave That would depend on the camera itself. The adapter has a 2x lense, so it will double the inherent sensor's strength. We have noticed here that our DSLR cameras do not get the same field of view as the eyepieces (they are smaller from anywhere to 1/3rd to 1/2 decrease in FOV). In short terms - we can not tell you exactly what your FOV will be as it differs from camera to camera.
@AmScopeVideos11 жыл бұрын
Hello, magnification through any camera will always be different than what you see through the eyepieces of your microscope. Typically, the field of view will be less than what you see through the microscope eyepieces. The camera sensor usually defines what kind of magnification you get when using the adapter. When I used the D90 I felt like it was at least 15x-20x magnification.
@RobertShane7 жыл бұрын
Since I have to remove the eye piece, what's the total magnification? Would it be the magnification of this (2x) times the magnification of the objectives? 4x, 10x, 40x meaning the total can be 8x, 20x, and 80x?
@arie18997 жыл бұрын
I wonder the same. The product's description says that the magnification of the adapter is 2x, so the total magnification is 8x, 20x, 40x and 200x. I also wonder, why the adapters do not have more magnification? :( www.amscope.com/canon-slr-dslr-camera-adapter-for-microscopes.html

If the Leica has a slide in mounting size of 23mm, 30mm, or 30.5mm then it would fit.

what about nikon d800? and is the adapter compatible with microsopes from ter brand? i am wondering because we might have different messurements in Germany
@AmScopeVideos10 жыл бұрын
The adapter will only work on microscopes that have a 23mm, 30mm, or 30.5mm port. Yes, it sould work on the D800. Just set your D800 to DX mode and don't use it in FX mode.

Good instructional video. One question: I noticed you are using the 2x adapter. What equivalent is that in eyepieces? I.e. Is a 2x adapter equal to a 2x eyepiece, or 12-15x like I've seen on a handful of websites? THANKS!

Does it work with any AmScope brand microscope?
@AmScopeVideos7 жыл бұрын
Most of our microscopes use 23mm, 30mm or 30.5mm. Unless purchasing one of our very base models, it would be adaptable to our line. I would suggest double checking the ocular tube mounting size to verify.

I would say that the camera I used in the video gives around 20x - 24x magnification with the 2x lens attached. Keep in mind that different camera sensors yield different magnifications
