Always twist tanks/flyers with their front/cockpit away from incoming fire. In that case you will most likely get hit from the side, if your vehicle is destroyed and that means that the pilot survives

As I recall, the base game has 2 missions that bring in assault mechs. Titan Attack is where you have to defend a base from one or more assaults (I've had to fight 2 Atlases before). The other I think is called Clash of Titans. It's where two lances, each with an assault class, are fighting each other and you are supposed to take them both out. That's what this mission looked like.

First off, always check the store after each financial. You replaced a tanker with Farmboy who you dumped on in the event (-5 morale and negative tags were added). If you discipline both they actually both get better. Farmboy might have not dropped for you because of the newly earned Rebellious tag.

I started as same faction as u just for fun. I turned my crosscut into and 250 engine with a improved heavy large laser and ecm beagle probe and a c3 unit. So much fun sprinting behind a mech and hitting them in the back for 80 damage. My loader king is currently running to double uac5 and 2 IATM9's

An assault mech this early isn't a power spike, it is a destroyer of your c-bills.

The dropship repair tree should become a thing in Mw5 ... and able to buy sell dropships :P and bit like mw4 .. multiple lances! but repairng your dropship absolutly !!!

The Crosscut is sort of working, its kind of hard to work around some of it with the chainsaws but otherwise its pretty functional for what it is (a cheap punch mech!)

Baradul, As to the location of your image on the screen. Try the upper left side there is a space between the mission goals on the left and the target information on the top middle that should fit you r camera feed and not6 block things. btw. I just got my Steiner Scout Squad in MW5. The odd thing is that 2 of the Atlas had only 2 weapons. they were and Arrow IV and a Long Tom. Had to reconfigure to 4 MP Pulse, 2 SRM 6 + Artemis, and 2 UAC 5.

Hello I've recently taken a liking to Battletech I wanted to ask you a question: to replace destroyed limbs in rogue tech do I actually have to have the parts (actuators and everything)? I find that they are really hard to come by, either through salvage or store. What am I doing wrong? I'm playing overly cautious for fear of not being able to field mechs anymore after a bad engagement. Thank you for the content

@@danielecatania9631 RT started as idea to have fun, it devolved into being for very limited elitists who play on a very select meta in a setting that consists of you trying to ignore every single mechanic they added to "win" on online map (that doesn't matter) that's blocked behind a "behavior wall" where the gatekeepers are impolite elitists who hate everyone who's not them and don't echo chamber what they say. You having fun in SP doesn't matter, what matters that limited selection echo chamber elitists get to break online map even more. With developers adding at least 10 more broken snowflake mechs per update without any reasoning and consider asking for patchnotes to be rude and unproductive. That's how it just currently is. Fun's been pretty much throttled out of it. So yeah, go get BTA. It's still trying to be fun and manages to be.

I got a bondsman on one of my first missions. Didn't have high rep. The portrait was cool. I don't think it was even a duel, just a battle with batchall in the title.

Just dont do what I did, play late at night, mistakenly take a 7.5 skull with a lance that is only 2.5. I did win thanks to LRM's with mines. Lots of shoot and hide. Nobody died, but I have a few weeks of repair and healing time, lol.

Mrm 20s are my absolute favorite because they do almost as much damage as srms with the quantity of lrms. Also is anybody else having an issue running rogue tech because steam and paradox launcher want to install the games in two separate locations or duplicate them in the same location, Which confuses rogue tech. I didn't have this problem until I updated the paradox launcher because of crusader Kings 3 as well as no mods from steam work for any paradox game

I'm playing the original BT and loving it, I have some 300 hours so far. I'm not a huge BattleTech nerd though. Is it worthwhile to get into the mods? There seems to be so many options, I'm a bit afraid that I'd get overwhelmed. Would you recommend those for a guy who just wants to bash some mechs without it being x-com level complex?

base game BT is super sad barely functional money grab. Roguetech was fine year back, now it's hard for sake of being hard where balancing is done for borderline masochists who have 2k hours of playtime who only play one specific meta, while devs keep adding more and more snowflake mechs that have absolutely nothing to do with battletech and further diluting the experience to be unapproachable for new players or just having fun. If you want to, Wabalabalam on twitch is up RN and knows RT in and out, ask him shizzle.

Get the BTA mod if you want a tamer yet still fleshed out BT experience. Only start with RT if you're a hardcore masochist who can't live without pain and misery.

@@LibbyGrimm really? I unironically love the original BT- it's a perfect game to just sit and blow stuff up with just enough mechanics to not make it micro heavy. The music is gorgeous too, I'm having tons of fun with it. But then I'm a filthy casual and I don't like ass-annihilatingly hard games. I was afraid of what you describe on RT- apparently it's the kind of thing for hardcore enthusiasts. Not a bad thing, but not for everyone.

@@bjorntrollgesicht1144 No, it's just bad, there's no degrees of variance to it, the "hard" isn't thought out difficulty, it's terrible design choices left unfixed. It's not suitable for anyone. It's not hardcore enthusiast crowd playing it, it's less than 100 people who play artillery only-meta on online map and having flame wars about the politics of that universe to the degree it's unhealthy. That's what developers are currently "designing" their game to. It is bad. And if you like BT vanilla, you are free to do so. BT isn't a well made game, it's a barely working minimalistic cash grab that for some unfathomable reason had to be named "Battletech" and then come out in a state it's in, memory leaks, multiple game breaking bugs, having absolutely nothing but name to do with the tabletop. That's my issue with it, if it was ""mechmasher3000" it would have, and should have been forgotten 3 days after release. It stayed afloat on the name and the fact it was modded without it ever having native mod support. You liking it has nothing to do with that lol.
