That's correct. It clearly wasn't an assassination plot. It was more a political destabilisation tactic ( Likely an inside job ) Seemed more like small pyrotechnic detonation of a flying Molotov cocktail and not a military ordinance explosion. If that was a serious explosive payload, that drone would have been blown to smithereens, with a blast diameter of at least 10 to 15 metres in all directions and clearly that did not occur. You could see the drone ( significantly intact ) falling on the other side of the dome.

Most types of explosion will leave a lot untouched, flagpole most notably. If this were a partisan or insurgent group just wanting to send a message to putin he might not be safe sitting on Lenin's tomb the next day, you wouldn't need much of a charge. Russia is the number two supplier of weapons in the world. Their weapons factory are running 24 hours a day. All these factors do not look good for this war ending any time soon. The West realizes this and is attempting to stop Russia economically again with another sanction package made to really work. Unfortunately, it will, of course, boomerang back. That was my conclusion also but CNN had an interview with some ex Duma member, now operating an online anti Putin tv "station", who claimed it was launched by anti P Russians. And not as a serious attack, but to create nervousness ahead of the 9th May parade. I think that makes sense. Even as a 'false flag' op, it has some unlikely elements, not least that there were two Kremlin staff on the stairway to the top of the dome, inspecting the first drone strike, when the second one exploded quite near them. Anyway, I am running with that: the work of anti Putin / anti war Russians and the Kremlin 'air defences' are in fact as much of a joke as everything else about the Russian military.

That is pretty much my take on it as well. If the FSB had done this, they would be showing how much of a joke Russian defenses are. It would be bad PR. Ukraine has no reason to do this, as it might rile up the Russian populace. So, the most likely culprits are the anti-Putin partisans. I also suspect that the FSB is having problems tackling the partisans because they are all individuals conducting their own independent actions without contacting other individuals/groups. So it is basically an uncoordinated grass roots movement.

The drone never landed on the roof. The drone never made any impact on the roof nor the flag post. It exploded by remote control device or timer fitted on the drone behind the roof, like in a bad scenario drama movie. I have never seen the 2nd drone as mentioned by Cremlin or media. 🤣🤣

This was too obvious, just Camera, set, action moment. That $5 drone would do 0 Damage anyway. It exploded before touching anything, and even if it did touch something, it would just leave a scratch on the wall.

And, of course, if that weren't a lie it would be interesting & confusing at the same time. There are US (I assume you meant US when you said American or did you mean Canadian, Brazilian, etc) people talking fluent russian inside the Kremlin & there have been for year. Mainly they just bribe officials for access but their are some plants there too.
