Came back to this episode for the ocean part and thought this was about when he gets there and. That's kind of an underrated moment. Because that's when he confirms via seeing something he never has except in his memories that everything else about them is also true. It's a big part of why he breaks so hard here and falls even lower internally and not a lot of people appreciate that as much as just take note he's not doing so well because of what he says after.

They needed a leader and although the audience knows Armin has talent, Armin also doesn't have a backbone to stand up for himself. As of now the Scouts have no leader, and if any regiment absolutely needs one, it's the Scouts. Which is why S4 will be very interesting. Can't wait

Pls can we talk about this: The fact this was the moment Eren was most disappointed in his father not because Grisha ate the whole family but because his father chickened out and refused to eat the founding Titan and kids. Lastly it was future Eren himself who convinced his dad by remininding him of all the hate towards eldians( his face while he does it is just wow... his expression was just full of hate and anger). So it was Eren all along who chose to inherit the attack and founding titan!?? I just can't comprehend that he made that face because of his fathers fear and not because of the fact that he's a killer like we all assumed

Yeah, back then I assumed and the community too assumed that Eren was shocked at Grisha and made the same reaction but it was the other way round. We should have known better, all along we thought that Grisha just came in and killed everyone but here he was revealed to be trying to talk. Something, or someone changed his mind.

She didn’t help Grisha because of the King’s ideal. That’s why Grisha had to kill her and the family because titans attacked and ultimately Reiner and Bertholdt were looking for the King. Any person with royal blood that inherits the Founding titan gets enslaved to the King’s vow of renouncing war. Eren is not of Royal blood, so the King’s vow doesn’t bother him.

So, im starting to read the manga up to date with the anime, and maybe read after it, i still dont know which option is better cuz i have had bad history with coming into a show with the manga knowledge but being let down (specifically Tokyo Ghoul) but since i know its attack on titan i will read beyond the anime adaptation. But let me guess, when Eren touched Historia, did he see like, everything? Like the end of him and everyone? Im guessing he did because he got waaayyyy to sad after it, like actually depressed shit

To be honest, I personally don't like Floch. However, when I think rationally and treat people with the worldview of the story and fall into the situation at the time, I think he was wise and chose the right choice, but the protagonist was overwhelmed by emotions and lost his rational judgment. Most viewers hated him Just because of the omniscient view. Try to replace the world view and situation at that time. Don't let your emotions override your judgment. Floch is not wrong. In that case, resurrecting the leader is a more reasonable choice. Not to resurrect the leader, but to restore another important supporting role is just the plot need.
