Lowpass effect my dude. Gives it this underwaterish/“in the other room” kind of sound. Initially I was trying to muffle it to match a muffled part that was in the original Audio in AoT S4. But then just decided to use the effect to my advantage to take the artistic approach and make it fit the song sequence and seperate enemy Dialogue from the dialogue of the others. It’s the small things that I overanalyse way too much when I edit but it’s good that people actually notice it lmao

bro how did you extract the dialogues so well?? I am making a similar trailer myself and I cant find the way to extract a clean dialogue from the anime because there is always another soundtrack on the scene or a lot of noise. If you can help me out that would be awesome

Hey bro. So the first thing I done was do a real thorough search for Dialogue that has no score in the background. For AoT in particular I think you’ll score a few good ones. If you can’t find any or require more, next step Is to grab Dialogue where the music is subtle or easy to drown out with the trailer music you’re using, that way vocal enhancements and denoise plug ins you use will be much easier to use. If you really require dialogue that has a loud OST in the back, even I struggle and fail with this but my last resort is to make sure the volume levelling leaves the trailer music you’re using dominant over the dialogue clip and put it in a place where your dialogue can still actually be heard as well. Vocal enhancement will be harder though. And between each said dialogue cut and fade out the gaps where no one is saying anything otherwise those gaps will be the unwanted soundtrack that you’re trying to get rid of.
