@@m_yeu It's not the trees around being not present that's the problem. He can use the Titan's body in a similar fashion he could use trees or buildings to maneuver. His problem with Beast Titan is that it's far away and in the middle of an open area. He would be seen and have boulders thrown at him before he is near enough to latch onto the Titan's body. That's the reason he had to circle around and use the entire newbie army as a bait so the Beast Titan would lose track of his own Titan army being taken down by Levi. The abnormal titan in No Regrets is already close so he can simply latch onto it and maneuver around.

Let's be honest, that abberant was insane. It had beast reactions and speed. It had no business being that overpowered. I bet if that thing rampaged through Erwin and Mike's line they'd be dead meat. It's like this Titan was made to exist for the sole purpose of Levi getting this scene. It was on all fours so that made it incredibly more difficult to take down because you can't reliably predict where his limbs or the nape is gonna snap to, since it reacted to Levi almost being near invisible so well.
