Well, lol. Many years of music education will do that to you. You have to be able to separate all the instrument sounds in an ensemble when you direct so you can fix errors quickly. It started in college and drumcorps tho. Lots of instructions with this type of listening skillset development

Hey ! Great video and reaction as always, just wanted to comment for once that you really are one of a kind and that it's been a pleasure to rediscover music through your reactions ! It all started for me with your reaction to the JOJO openings, and it opened my eyes to just how good the music is, and just how much is happening outside of the vocals. And this part is way less important but I thought that if I was going to comment, I might as well put down some recommandations : First of all I'd love to see you hear more from Shiro Sagisu ! He's my personal favorite composer in the anime industry, and I'm sure there would be lots to say about some of his soundtracks : - From Magi the Labyrinth of Magic : "Enfin Apparu" (a really great song but somehow much less known than it should) - From Bleach : "Chokkaku" ; maybe some hispanic sounding music with "Clavar La Espada" or "Principio De Lucha" ; and finally "Cometh The Hour" for some great chorus - From Neon Genesis Evangelion : "Fate" (still by shiro sagisu), which greatly ressembles his other works in bleach yet still seperates itself from it And I have some random pieces of music that I think anyone should give a listen : "Kingdom of Predators" - Hunter X Hunter ; "March of the Sternritter/Starcross" from Bleach ; "AI Professor Battle Theme" from Pokemon Scarlet/Violet ; "God Shattering Star" from the game Fire Emblem ; and Finally "Melissa" or the first opening from Full Metal Alchemist (not brotherhood). In retrospect this comment feels a bit heavy... but It's supposed to be taken ligthly ! If you ever feel like listening to any of this it'd be awesome !

Every song from AoT (op. & end.) when I listen to it for the first time evokes a not very positive reaction in me. I'm not a musician, I don't know the technical aspects, I don't know what is virtuosity and what is not. They always sound psychedelic to me. However, I quickly get used to them and they become my favorite because they are interesting. This is a completely different level of music. As for the psychedelic side of them, I still think each of these songs is just that, but a little bit of craziness makes life more interesting.

Huge fan of japanese music and it's absolutey awesome how you analyzed some of my fave songs from japanese producers, animes, singers etc! Saw that you reacted to tracks from Hiroyuki Sawano and Minami, which were amazing btw! If you're interested in checking out more from them, wanna recommend here some more really good songs from them: Minami - Lilac, Hiroyuki Sawano [nZk] - &Z ft. mizuki and Hiroyuki Sawano [nZk]:mizuki - aLIEz. Last one is pretty interesting since it's a trilingual song, mix of Japanese, English and German and it's amazing how all these languages work so well together in that song (I think there's also some French in it as well xd)
