@@sarthakjoshi693 Well, if you add the Morgenröte which literally means "morning redness" (or "dawn"/reddening of the morning sky) then it's not just about the fallen but perhaps also about that a new day is dawning and one has to go on, even though the night (battle/fight) has just came to an end and there are still lots of bloody (red) corpses everywhere. This is a quite metaphorical approach but it might not be so far off after all. Or it could be that the morning sky pays tribute to the fallen by its reddening similar to how a requiem pays tribute for the fallen. And as "the land of the rising sun" Japan also has a lot of literature which includes the dawn and the morning sun as themes I think. (But even in the US national anthem they use "dawn" as a metaphor so it's not just limited to Japan.
