Yeah, I think in the manag, Eren is playing the bad guy becayse he wanta the eldians to be the hero. He believs inorser for the world to stop discriminating his fellow nation he must take the blame. Cause in the manga we see that if Eren really wanted to succeed in his plan he would of taken everyones abilities and given them 0 chance. But he hasn't. We have also seen in the flash back when they were building the rail road, he talks about how he just wants to save his friends.

Not a popular opinion, but this is the only AoT opening song I enjoy. It’s so eerie and captivating, and the melody of the song is absolutely brilliant. This song is such a perfect description of war. The coordinated chanting as if this is an anthem sung by the military that the children picked up on. The wind instrument (I have no idea what it is, that's just what I hear) solo that screams final villain (like Chancellor Cole from Spirit Tracks) and the song getting more intense as we see glimpses of the army march. The bombs, the explosions, the countless fatalities just for more land, revenge, and lastly the devil.

One thing I love about this is not just that the music is amazing, but that all explosions, gunfire, and newer warfare are shown with rainbow smoke, showing how to the people of paradis it is truly an unexplored world of technology. Also, all the troops, buildings, airships, battleships and anything else filled with human lives is shown as grey and meaningless, just as Eren comes to see them. Great opening with really good foreshadowing
