As much as I miss the score from the first season, The soundtrack actually used for this scene was perfect. Just the right amount of despair and horror

@@diroupaz5995 In the manga, the scene has more depth and impact because it shifts from genocide to kid Eren's dreams. It shapes a bittersweet feeling from the contrast between those two. The music in the anime makes it so that the contrast between the two is minimized, the only feeling is that of horror. It loses depth. I don't think this part of Vogel Im Kafig encapsulates this feelingg either. The edit on my channel is close to my interpretation of this scene.

For me, Vogel im Kafig has something that always makes my insides stir up, i love it so much. i think the original version was good, but for me this brings up a different feeling. it makes much more obvious that the story is repeating itself, much more violent, but repeating after all...like that time the walls were blown up...

Amazing. Liked their music choice and their handling of the rumbling overall was great and a huge improvement over the TV anime, but still disappointed we didn't have Vogel Im Kafig or a leitmotif of it play even once during season 4 when it's Eren's theme. I would have had Vogel im kafig come in after the childrens' deaths and Eren's apology, not cutting out the added scenes by MAPPA. But that moment of silence at the end with the wind is masterclass.
@LordVerdo Жыл бұрын
People say Vogel is hopeful… despite the fact it fucking plays when Eren’s mom is eaten. Um, how in the hell is it hopeful. It’s called Bird in a Cage. So may fans of this story are deluded when they defend anything Mappa does and sadly those same people will defend the ending blindly without recognizing this is the last good chapter save for 134.
@m_ron2742 Жыл бұрын
True but you’re also deluded if you think the original didn’t work. Vogel doesn’t really fit 100% here with the animation and scene. Sadly there is also be fans who will literally be unsatisfied with anything mappa puts out despite it being not bad (but ofc they aren’t perfect).. the original track felt depressing and expressed hopelessness and defeat which the scene and animation presented. Vogel also does but not to this extent
@LordVerdo Жыл бұрын
@@m_ron2742 I think they both work! I believe the track they used conveys the horror of Eren and the rumbling itself, which is perfect for the message Isyama conveyed in the story. I just always believed 100 percent rumbling would have made for a better story as the focus would have been more on Eren in the last arc.
@doublekey8931 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, you're pretty much on point! Vogel im kafig is literally the opposite: it's hopelessness. Levi's squad being slaughtered in front of Eren's eyes and him not knowing how to react is a good example of that.
@tonyrockywarrior4096 Жыл бұрын
I think it is very subjective honestly. It also plays during Armin's speech to convince the troops that Eren is not a threat so some people might see it as hopeful (even if the name is what it is lmao) Personally I find it the most tragic track, it sure is powerful but I feel it in a very sad way, that's why I think fits this scene so perfectly.
@JayHeartwing Жыл бұрын
The original really gives that horror you can feel in the days of doom. Imagine that type of dream that makes you wake up at night with a racing heartbeat. Something terrifying that you feel you are inside of the scene. This kinda makes it like some type of drama you can see on TV. Vogel Im Kafig is really beautiful and can fit into other scenes, but not these ones.

Like come on you can’t tell me the OST in the original scene doesn’t fit perfectly.
