Incidentally, from the outside looking in, the master's teaching methods may be seen as highly abusive. However, to be truly proficient in these techniques a student needs to feel the techniques themselves. This is old school thought. I couldn't imagine what he went through with His masters.

absolutely. Most people would have physical problems for the rest of the day with this much attention to his pressure points. The only way to learn and have confidence in the tecniques power is to suffer the tecnique yourself, as this brave self controlled victim is doing. A truly beautiful art form in motion.

I believe that the gentleman's pain translates into more than 18 languages 😂
As a physio who dabbled in martial arts and acupressure that is very interesting. A lot of points he showed are quite painful for most people. I wonder how that would go with anyone who trains with them and might be desensitised.

We feel the pain after the sparring or fight. I have a degree in physics 😔 just not classical but the weird small scale one 😔 I assure you, a hook to your liver is much worse.. Feels like a kick on the nads, basically. 😬 And still having to stand the difficulty at breathing is hard enough 😬😬😬😬😬😔

@@misterlau5246 I agree as well. Pressure points and utilizing them to gain control has limited effect, especially when you are dealing with someone that is experiencing excited delirium or is high. More often than not, they don't feel it, or they don't feel it enough to get an adequate response from them. I like the study of this topic, but in practice, it is kind of limited. You need actual joint manipulation and or directed destructive power like a strike.

@brandonh4527 some strikes to forearm's nerves can be painful but won't stop anyone. I once saw a very big and altered guy who was tased... Thrice... Ouch... A taser is better than dim mak and this dude endured 3 shocks 😬😳

Actually the content do exist in books and such for Qin Na but teachers are very rare. Qin Na is the gentle one generally used for grappling submissions. Fen Jin &Cuo Gu are the deadly ones as it literally means "separate the tendons" and "dislocating bones/joints". People can literally lose arms and legs at their joints when these techniques are applied to Qin Na. This is where you see all the twisting and bending of the wrists, elbows, arms, necks, shoulders, back, etc. becomes bloody via "detachment" of said body part. Sensei Miyahira knows which is why he said "something scary lurking in me".

Thank you. 🙏🏾 The most relatable lines for me were “So I know something scary lurks inside me” and “In that sense, I don’t think I’m a kind person.”
To me these have always been something not everyone should learn or know. I can understand why the ancient Chinese or Japanese wouldn't teach this to just anyone. There are to many bad people in this world who should not learn this. The enemy or opponent shouldn't know this. I think these should be kept private even though I would like to know these ancient techniques. It's safer and more meaningful.

This is what the kung fu masters said to Bruce Lee. I'm glad he didn't listen to them. And we rediscovered the revolution of martial arts in western countries and movies. Knowledge, open mind. Knowing this and just stay there be confident is a lazy behaviour. Let the enemy know it but train harder than him than anybody. Knowledge is practicing.
@user-zt9bx5lh2d3 жыл бұрын
@@alphaangelo9837 I agree in a sense. As I got older and seeing many martial art movies and how the disciple would always attack and kill their master due to arrogance and pride. I feel these kind of secrets shouldn't be taught to all walks of life. It might just be best to keep it in the family than teaching an outsider secrets from the home. Bruce Lee did a great service with bringing Real Martial Arts to the States, but he too practiced some things individually as well. He knew the importance of teaching only a few disciples all things
@Haywood-Jablomie3 жыл бұрын
@@user-zt9bx5lh2d This is simply a variation of Hon Gyaku . It's a simple lock that pretty much only works on a VERY passive opponent. it's painful as hell, but it's almost impossible to pull off on a resisting opponent that is attempting to hit you and harm you. His adrenaline will overpower this easily.
@prastagus33 жыл бұрын
@@Haywood-Jablomie Hon Gyaku seems to be simplified version of Qin Na upon viewing some demos. Adrenaline do not overcome Pressure points. They are cut off from flowing into that position or limb due to the way he is grabbing them at specific points. Any attempt to fight it,, without the knowhow, would incur even greater pain and more joints get locked down one after another. He explained this during The S angle demonstration. The grip strength training of the fingers, the knowledge about the anatomy, pressure points, natural movement are major factors in successful Qin Na grappling.

Chi Na (Chinese Grappling), is the "NICE" way to deal with an OP. This same technology changes, when those Pressure points are "HIT" with Fajing (fahh jing - explosive power). At that point, it is called "Dim Mak". Such a strike done properly... can cause Severe internal injuries. This can be anything from Ruptured organs or veins / arteries... or it can simply cause so much internal inflammation, as to severely limit the OPs bloodflow circulation. Additionally, the hits can cause serious nervous system effects, from numbness and unable to move for a while... to involuntary spasms, to your legs complete giving out.. and even not being able to breath well, or breath at all. The very hearts beat can be effected too. Often, the pain and sensations are so overwhelming, that the Mind will temporarily shut down (KO)... and the OP will go unconscious. There are a lot of Frauds out there, that might know the correct places to strike... However... simply hitting them with a standards type of strike is never going to do much... especially against a well conditioned fighters body. Only a high level Fajing strike, is capable of causing these severe damages / effects... and the truth is, that very few combat artists today... actually can perform Fajing strikes at all. There is a channel by user lilylily that has Dim Mak vids. Some are fakes and or deceptive.. but there are some that are very clearly real, and they are terrifying. I have 28 yrs experience in the high level Chinese combat arts. I learned and mastered high level Fajing, to which I utilize when punching, and even on interceptions. However... I never learned the pressure points. I simply knocked out fighters with a very light fajing strike to the OPs foreheads, via a vertical fist. I never used more than 15% of what I was capable of delivering. I also never used Finger strikes in sparring... but I have conditioned my fingers to be able to do so... if I were ever in need of using the most lethal of weapons. That is the type of thing that this fighter was likely trying not to speak about...

@@diogomata2438 Ive sparred plenty of MMA fighters, as well as had them over to cross train. The UFC is just a sport Game. It offers very little realism, to actual high level barefist combat. Even IF I had the desire to entire the UFC... the very first Qualification event, would be the first and Last fight... after I destroyed a fighters kneecap, with a round that lasted less than 2 seconds. (Ive done the same thing to a different disrespectful fighter, before. It took a month for him to fully recover... and I used less than 20% of what I was capable of delivering) You see.. the problem is that nobody that sees a fighter eat such a kick, and the aftermath of a fighter screaming and crying a river of tears... wants to step up to be Next in line. Its one thing to talk trash, and make assumptions on the internet. Its a very different thing, to see actual destructive reality... right in front of your eyes and ears. The stuff that MMA artists train... is basically just a watered down combination of already sportized arts. Its even more watered down than the arts they stole from... because they didnt take the specialized training drills and exercises, which would develop these techs to a MUCH higher level of potentials. Of course... none of this info will make any sense, to anyone that has no depth of experience in high level combat arts. Being a Fanboy, does not equate to Experience.
@johndough81153 жыл бұрын
@@Cynry There are many times and places, where you can not carry such a weapon. Furthermore... there are many situations, where the OPs that are attacking are too close, and too fast... then you wont have the time to even pull a weapon out in time. Every weapon and tactic, has its optimal uses.
