I love the long form discussion template. So many Easter eggs in this thing to help continue evolving. Thanks, Coach Mckie!

We would call Zulu solo to tell the backside tackle to block the end and the qb would read the Mike.

So that’s your call to turn it into a 2nd level rpo
@Bey11ktb4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Anytime we are running zone and we want a second level we will call solo. Now when we run duo it’s just 12 or 13.

I’ll talk ball in replies to my comment but I’ll mention that JustPlay is definitely used by some high schools; they’re one of Coach Mac’s sponsors that he mentions in the first few minutes of his videos

Like that gut call against the 4i’s, looks similar to fold blocking (when I played a few years back, our OL would make a “laundry” call when they’d do that)

The 3 not the 1 answer threw me off at first because I thought the question was about 3 tech vs 1 tech and not 3 receiver side vs single side. Definitely good reasoning for the latter though Edit: this came full circle and both got answered lol

That F motion version of the play is great, especially the rule where “if no one moves, thrown the screen” because that post safety has to be a hoss in that situation

Can you play man in a tite front or a mint front?
@CoachMcKie3 жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not
@slidegee82273 жыл бұрын
@@CoachMcKie I read that you can only play zone because the OLB or nickel corner would be in conflict because they can’t have two assignments playing man and have a gap assignment with either that C or D gap

So on izzo is the right tackle man blocking the end??
@CoachMcKie4 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that is correct.

Funny all those RPOs are like Rugby! In Rugby we never know how the action will finish. We make actions with several ending depending on the opponent reaction. Rugby is 100% RPO lol!
