i think youre right that this new team deserves the right facilities. but other teams should be throwing fits at the idea of playing in subpar stadiums- how upset i would be if i were an opposing owner of a team like the Current who put so much forward for their franchise only for lackluster efforts to also make it in the league. a slap in the face.

Just look at the Big Dig and how long that took. Nothing that happens in Boston moves quickly. Also the Arizona Cardinals played at Arizona State’s Sun Devil Stadium for years

Boston NWSL has fumbled the bag on the entire rollout and it would be extremely disappointing to see any expansion team play in subpar facilities. A bit of context I think is important to add: KC did play at Legends Field (KC Monarchs home field) in their inaugural season back in the league. I can't say from personal experience if those facilities were satisfactory, but it was certainly a long way from a professional futbol pitch. New teams should be allowed room to make mistakes and learn from failures, but in year 13... ownership groups should know what they are getting themselves into and have the capacity to meet expectations.

This is a new team and the issue is what planning they had around the stadium they want to use. The other teams were clear about that usage and things should move forward rather than backwards. Heck, I support Spokane's USL teams. The stadium is owned by a school district, but the soccer teams are getting priority and didn't start playing until after the stadium upgrade happened.

Standards have evolved as they should. Also it’s more so that they lack the ability as an entire franchise to meet the precedent set in all shapes & forms

What's gonna happen with the field next season? It was unplayable, awful for player welfare. Plus, MLS will play in Snapdragon next season. I don't what's the solution.

I wish they chose "Boston Academicals" as a name, to give tribute not only to football in Scotland from New England, but to reflect how college sport has contributed to women's sport. I wrote this then heard about the stadium, which seems to fit also. Lastly, as Hamilton would have been male in the era they started, it would show women can learn and achieve and belong.
