Hi Tom, interesting review! I too liked the Blade picks but the tonal difference between the two seems very slight, and the ridges seem to be the same on both the I and II. I also liked the bridge position tones for the riff you were using to demo them. Take care, see you on your Monday live stream!

Hey ! Tom yes when I do use a pick I use the Dunlop with serrated grip 88mm , I turn it around to use serrated edge on strings, it does make difference with pick. I use my thumb and index a lot to change sound and intensity, used to cut up hard green scrubbing pads and make picks for sounds. I will try. and check them out! But what I was mainly using was Dunlop 88 and a very thin pick Red Dunlop for strumming. and a Dunlop thumb pick. Thanks for heads up on these.

Hey Tom, Hope you're doing great. Really excited about some new guitar strings I had never tried before. Earthwood Accoustic Guitar strings, silk and steel soft, 80/20 bronze alloy. They are amazing! I have used D'Adarios for decades and we've spoken about them before, but the Earthwoods have blown me away. They go on so easy and settle easily. Stunning harmonics and the sustain is to die for. I have a bad habit of pushing on a bit, but these cured that right away. Really hope to get your feedback! :) best, J.

I ordered the 8 pack sampler thing; I'm always in for trying new fun stuff when it's relatively cheap, too!

Do you enjoy it!! Does it make a difference?

Great video, as usual. It's probably a cool thing to have, especially if you're recording. For me it's not an all-around/base sound, but it has it's thing, and if there was/is a pedal that does it, it would probably cost at least 200$.

Although they DO had a sharp attack to the strings, the hard plastic of the picks adds a quick noticeable plastic "click" to the note. The plastic clicking is in sharp contrast to other nylon picks I've used. It's quite annoying. After playing every one of the variety pack I orders, I finally chucked the lot into the waste basket. To make matters worse, they sent a "survey" to provide feedback, but ONLY provided ONE panel for Positive comments. I incorrectly assumed, per my dismal review, they'd provide another panel for Negative comments (e.g., perhaps to improve the product). "Negative" is the operative word. Plus, the "Contact Us" link on their website simply opens a blank/empty browser window in the browser of your choice, with NO way to "Contact" them. This was a total rip-off as far as I'm concerned.

The "clicking" is exactly what I like about these picks. If I don't want that sound for a track I'm writing or recording than I have thousands of options. But I'm always looking for odd sounds for the different projects I'm part of.

One of the attak pics is supposed to make the guitar sound like a 12-string isn't it? Would be interesting to hear how it sounds strumming an acoustic on full open chords.

I tried it. Not so much. Maybe I'll do a video on that as well.

I am surprised that there really is a distinct sound from each pick!

They REALLY "stick" to the strings. I mean they...SNAG...the strings. I got a variety pack and it also has "stealth" picks...those I like. Thick and easy to grip...but the tips are skinny and don't GRAB the strings. If you want your pick to "pluck" each string...go for these. Otherwise...I'd pass on them.
