You can change green grass into podzol, just make big 2x2 spruce tree near the area or silk touch it and place it manually.

That seed is amazing, what a view you have in that base. Amazing content as per usual, its sad that youtube now forces you to disable ad blockers, i have had 2 ads jumpsacre me, if it detects an ad blocker, the website itself becomes laggy proposedly.

you can use water to wash away deep snow. oh mob chickens don't lay eggs and they despawn naturally. You need to name tag if your keeping it. Also you can breed them to get an egg laying chicken. I did it for one of my cave only survival worlds. If you want to keep the pond defrosted you can put a jackolantern in the bottom or other light source block.
