I just finished the 28 degrees North trip, 7000nm from Florida to Tenerife, via Greenland, Iceland, the UK, then France, and Spain. It took a week in a TBM 930, flying a few hours a day.

A “Mayday” callsign is nothing to joke about IRL. Set transponder to 7700. Indicate problem, altitude, heading. During an engine failure the glide speed is critical and thus a local landing area must be dedicated. Know your aircraft.

@@Flashjackmak The walls won't be invinsible, the height mapping won't map out the drop inside the volacano and will just put regular land there. There will probably be an indent in the top of the volcano as if there used to be a giant ball there or something, or at least there was when I flew to mount Fuji. I turned off damage and just started driving around the hole like it was a skate park lol.

I like watching people enjoy themselves in games, and I like seeing you fly somewhere I've been that many people haven't been exposed to, but so many of your flying videos end up relying on the one gag of "dumb pilot on the tannoy" (and Ross going "ahhhhhhhhhh"). And because it's early in the video it's hard to get through, to make it to the inevitable crashing and Trott screaming. (I had to pause 90 seconds in to take a break, so I'm assuming that's how the video goes).

@@tigerpjm I mean yeah but even so they would have bounced like crazy. Bush plane landing gear least irl has giant soft tires and suspension. Plus as difficult as tail draggers are to take off they are much more stable when landing. Less likely to tip over because you touched a smol rock

Fair, I'm not saying I think it needs fully fleshed out destruction with wings coming off etc, that isn't what the game/sim is about. But even just having the planes slide along the floor tipped over in the case of Ross' botched landing would look better than the screen just going black. I guess it's personal preference, it would just feel less abrupt.

Dallas Page from WWE once flew planes but on his last flight he awoke late...forgetting to take the knives that were celotaped to each of his fingers from the hardcore match at Summerslam the night before he was unable to control the plane... Luckily he survived but the the family he was transporting burned to death on impact.. to this day noone with the surname Page can apply to be a pilot ..
