I shared a room with my sister until I was 13, we didn't get to decorate but my sister got to pick out the wall color and that was about it. lol And I always forget about the aprons in the game, but my mom has kept an apron in the kitchen since I was a kid.

By any chance, did you upload your vision of this build challenge to the galley as well? Because I’m in love with it and can already picture a family in mind living here 🥰 or redoing it somewhat, because I suck at roofing & landscaping😅 so just keeping that aspect of your version and then editing everything else in the interior/some of the exterior (like the backyard) while staying within the build challenge restrictions ofc. Pleeease lmk because I’d love to download either way 🙏🏼✨

I just finished the puzzle shell for simsie after a creative rut for two years. I did say I wanted to do another challenge so maybe I’ll give this a swing tonight!! Yay! Im scared lol

Nothing wrong with mismatched stuff in your house. My house is not "grey and geeky" (not into sci-fi myself and never seen DrWho) but nothing matches. My bedroom walls are turquoise (like the rock or a peacock bright), my dresser is nearly a century old (same year my still living grandpa was born) with glass knobs, my bed is black metal, my desk is 20-30 years older than my dresser and was once a shop-table (big, thick and heavy as a hippo) in my great-great uncles garage. He died elderly when my dad was a kid. Every table/surface in my house has one of those slanted bookshelves (shaped like an L with a foot, anyone know what I am saying? maybe I am just crazy?) because I snag those from thrift stores when I see them. I collect rocks, so there are funky rocks all over the place, my fridge is covered with magnets from museums and national/state parks etc that I have been to and whatnot. None of the wood stains match, colors don't match. Nothing in my house matches, and it was even less "matchy" when I was a kid/teen. If I had been blessed (?) with a sister instead of a brother, it would have been even more chaotic, because I am 100% sure I would have been sharing a room and two kids/teens that don't care what BetterHomes and Gardens magazine says is worse than just 1 kid/teen not giving a shit. If my house was an EA built house in some world, every streamer who does building would have labeled it a violation of the Geneva Convention and redone it. I am not into aesthetics, I just want my real house to be cozy you know? I am not a Sims builder, too tedious for me, and CAS is just as tedious, but don't worry too much if stuff doesn't match, there are real peoples houses that are worse than anything EA has ever plonked on a lot.
