It doesn't work like that , first of all very different lifts, second of all progression is not lineal, look at Thor , he was 'weak' in deadlifts at the start, hell he wasn't a top deadlifter even up until like 2015 , just 4-5 years later he was breaking Eddie's deadlift records on both elephant and normal bar and he wasn't a teen when he started really advancing in deadlift , Eddie was a fast starter but Thor eventually outlifted him, the same can happen with this guy , someone might come who doesn't seem that impressive yet but might make a shift and start pulling world records

855 to 1111 would be a shock to the CNS. Probably shouldn’t make more than like a 150lb jump. A single at 950 isn’t gonna kill you if you if you can do 1111. There’s a fine line between warming up too much and not warming up enough and just not priming your CNS for the weight as well. You got to balance both of those for sure. Just my take on it. I’d say do like 950 then go right into 1100 or so. Anything more than that and you just won’t be ready for it in my opinion but everyone’s different.

I noticed the same thing. So the full amount of weight was really just below the knees and the total range of motion was short. However, even at that it's still a lot of weight to move for any man. But again, using straps instead of real grip strength is not as impressive as Andy Boltons first deadlift with a 1000 lbs in a meet.

BTW: More plates are DEFINITELY easier than fewer plates because they allow for a bigger bar arch before the last plate leaves the ground! Optimally, you should put the smaller plate INSIDE, so that the last plate is large and can support the bar until the very end. Every millimetre of the bar arch is beneficial. Of course that would not be allowed in a competition, probably.
