Love the optimism at 4:14 I’m sure you can gat a 1:32 with a little more practice. A couple things that might help: - for your first drift get a (good,perfect,perfect) this gives you a stronger flame faster than three perfect boosts. (This will hurt your early reserves though). - the only necessary u-turn is for the last corner. All other u-turns don’t save time. -when you exit a drift (let go of the button you press to hop) your kart will slide out slightly. This helps you take the corner before the boost pad faster as you can slide out at the post. Hope you try this track again and as for the tips that last one is super useful for avoiding items or for when your dangerously close to a wall.

as a person who got an ok time on that track (1:32.79) i can point out some issues: on the first ramp after getting the initial 3 boosts, it's essential to get a landing boost (like you did in 5:49) since it's easier to keep the fire from the 3 boosts and also gives a very slightly faster speed. right after that, you are u-turning to get on the bridge again (like on 4:25). this u-turn is not necessary and should be avoided. you are doing this transition on 6:44 not very decently, you should stick a bit more to the wall on the right. after that, just go forward and immediately after falling do a powerslide to the left and gain only one boost. jump to realocate your kart so you can now make this next curve easier. this drift to the right (like on 6:53) is not necessary and should also be avoided. it makes the u-turn harder to execute. either drift left or just go straight on that part. on the 2nd and 3rd lap, make sure to hug the walls in 6:39 as close as possible. some unrelated notes, but still worth checking: the perfect start boost does help. you just need to get used to its "rhythm". once you get the hang of it, it's automatic basically. for a video like this, jungle boogie would be a much better option. it is shorter, more straight, and its walls are rather generous. because of the track being so short and simple, majority of its times simply come from player execution. tracks like thunder struck, dragon mines or deep sea driving are the opposite, being more dependent on cycle and the track layout itself. use speed. no, seriously. it doesn't matter if the track's garbage to play with the speed class, it is important to play with it because in no circumstance you are gonna get a top 10 rank even with drift, let alone world record (however there exists class WRs, such as accel WRs, drift WRs but those are separate categories). when in doubt of what to do or what method to use, check the world record video and copy its strats. as mentioned in your video, crashteamranking.com is a great website to compare times, and ALL world records have videos with them to prove its legitimacy, so, it's easier to check where you are making mistakes. some top players don't enable ghosts for comparison because in some tracks they are annoying and stay on the way, and they are also potentially exposed to error. in my opinion, it's much more practical to use lap times to measure how good your run is, unless you need visual guide.

i play private matches against taaataaaanne and a few of the others and learned so much and it pushed me to do better and now getting top 200 in the leaderboards thanks to all of them, you find the slightest time saves on the tracks which make a huge difference

quick tip for the start boost: just synchronize your boost with the lights going up. everytime a light turns on you have to get the bar full. that should do the trick its super simple

Hey! I think a while ago I commented about the starting boost and I noticed you're trying to do it again. If you have any musical practice, the best way I learned to do it is to compare the green light countdown to a measure of music in 4/4 time. With this in mind, each red light (and the green light) is a quarter beat/rest. So wait for the first two quarter notes/red lights to pass, but right between the second and third light tap acceleration once, then on the third red light, then press and hold on the last/green light. So the rhythm is rest, rest-and three, four where you press on the "and" of the second rest, the three, and the four. If you don't have any musical background, I hope this helps someone else in the comments. Good luck! Love watching your improvements.

My favorite track is electron avenue. I can't say I have the world record. But if it wasn't for that damn glitched flower you can hop off the beginning of the huge jump. I think id be in the top #10 in the world. I got so much practice that I have EA to a tee. It just sucks they won't patch that glitch ..
