Yea you would have had a much easier time if you tried going for triple Aku. It speeds up the final part of the level tremendously and basically makes the Plat free as long as you don't die to those moving walls at the end.

Conpared to wrath of cortex, the difference is clear. Thia game has hearth. Also I remember a friend that could quote the whole game from heart. It was amazing.

Hey man they didn't put those Aku's in there for people who are shit at the game, they're a tool for saving time. Hell a majority of WR runs will use Aku's because usually the time it takes to grab one is well worth potentially skipping a very annoying obstacle (like those spiked poles).

Man idk, I always found Road to Nowhere the harder Plat than High Road. I only used the rope strat for one section on High Road too, just for a bit of extra time save. Road to Nowhere has a stricter time and despite it being shorter it has a lot of really annoying jumps. Most of High Road's difficulty comes from the length and dealing with the fucking turtles, but aside from that, the Plat time itself is actually not that bad. If you can beat High Road without dying and without hesitating too many times, you'll probably get it on your first or second completion. With Road to Nowhere, you have a pretty good chance at not getting Plat after completing the level for the first time, as you experienced first hand. You cant really afford to wait around much at all. It's funny because the Red Gem path was always right in front of the exit warp on Road to Nowhere even in the OG game (which didn't have relics), but I can guarantee the devs definitely loved the fact it gave them an excuse to troll thousands of people going for relics lmao

if and when they release crash 5 if they decide to bring back the N verted modes please take the comic filter, the one for the dino area, and the one for cortex's castle and mute the colors. staring at those filters for a long time i think most can attest to burns yours eyes. i like them, but maybe just tone the brightness down a hair.

But then I absolutely couldn’t do Turbo Track because U-Turning with the stick is unplayable and because of William fucking P. So I quit the game for like 2 years and soon I might go back to it

The physics in Crash 1 are quite different to Nsane Crash 1 because the N.sane trilogy was made to unify the games by making thr physics all the same which made it difficult in different ways and Crash 1 original isn't momentum based.

Personally I think this level and the other Castle Exterior level should've switched names. - Slippery Climb has you go up while Stormy Ascent has you go up, down, and up again. - You can 'climb' both up and down while 'ascent' means going up. Otherwise I'd name them 'Slippery Ascent' and 'Stormy Climb' respectively.

Absolute legend for this, getting the platinum trophy on Crash 1 NSane was a chronic pain in my ass for weeks and this level was 90% of the symptom, well done bro 🍻 looking forward to more vids, subd

It is a shame this game got cancelled because it definitely looks like fun. I just wish kart racers were unique and entertaining again and that's what made the Crash Racing games fun. They didn't feel like Mario Kart ripoffs as they actually had some different feel to them. Plus I do hope they decide to bring this idea back up as it could knock Mario Kart 8 Deluxe out of the water, although I do think Nitro Fueled is better just could've had more especially some of the Tag Team Tracks

Very cool man!! I remember when I was younger I played this level on the PS1 for the first time and got absolutely wrecked because of the difficulty but that was the charm of the level for me! It's also a pretty well-designed level, if you ask me. Also a glitched Brio/Tawna/Cortex? bonus and amazing OG music from this level compared to N. Sane imo... lol Glad to see you trying it out. But also you should challenge TooneySA to a battle with this game lol. The OG Crash 1 battle.

In an interview, the creators of Crash 1, Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin spoke about stormy ascent. The level itself was almost complete but they wanted to go back and polish it up, along with completing the bonus round. During the final few days of development, they were centred solely around bug fixing and coding to make sure the game was fully completable. Stormy Ascent was intended to be the final level in Crash 1, but because they never got around to finishing it, the lab ended up as the final level instead.
