That is not a masher, that is a straining ladle! Roast potatoes are anaemic, cauliflower has like no cheese, boil the carrots a bit before roasting them. And it’s “yorkSHER” not “yorkSHEER”....

The roasties look sooo pale, they should be darker and crispier! You need to drain them properly and use a tiny bit of oil!

That looks so good! A tip for making roasties extra crispy is rupping them with oil and then adding a small amount of flour and then put it in hot oil and it makes them extra crispy!

Well done! Not easy cooking a roast dinner! I would put carrots on a bigger tray and I always leave the skin on and spray with oil or use lard/fat. Salt, pepper, honey & Italian seasoning. You want to use a bigger tray for the potatoes too and pre heat the oil til pipping hot before putting the potatoes in, will crisp them up a lot more. I’m cooking Christmas dinner for the first time this year for the family!

I don't know, I don't like the look of that roast.. Where's the green veg? Kudos to Ana for making real yorkshire puddings though cause most just get frozen ones 🤣 the roasts don't look roasted enough for me. Please someone teach Ana how to say yorkshire though for real... thats the only criticism i have but im a yorkshire girl and perfect roast dinners are critcal for us 🤣🤣🤣
@hayleymiller62862 жыл бұрын
And steam dry the potatoes after you drain them leave them in the colander and put a tea towel over them after 15 mins shake them in the colander they get fluffed up which is how you get the crispy bits then heat the oil in the oven till it’s sizzling hot and put the spuds in xx

Hey!!! You was talking about making cheese sauce from flower and cheese and milk etc, but there’s this cheese sauce you can buy from Tesco’s, I use it with my cauliflower and it’s unreal! It’s no more than £1 and it’s in a sachet looking thing where the sauces are and it should just say “creamy cheese sauce” it’s honestly amazing and it takes literally 2 seconds to do, you only add milk :) 😚😚

Ana the best potato’s to use for roasties is Maris pipers! Also get the garlic and Rosemary seasoning in a packet to put on them can get it in Sainsbury’s 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
@randomisthewayforward40452 жыл бұрын
easy way to make the batter - get a cup ( any cup/ small mug - bigger the cup the more mix ) , and use that to measure so you have equal quantities of milk egg and flour .... egg and milk first and gradually add the flour ... no lumps!

Ana, hold the potato, and don’t peel in such little bits! No wonder it took so long! ❤️😂 they also need about 20 minutes more in the oven.

I would suggest using goose fat for the potatoes and when you drain them in a colander really rough them up and then add loads of seasoning I normally use parsley rosemary and Thyme and add a couple gloves of garlic whole and cook them for an hour and they are always yummy

Tip: boil the potatoes for at least 20mins so they are super soft and then after draining shake them in the saucepan so they are literally so fluffy (extra crispy) they should sizzle when you first put them in the pre heated oil dish
