I am in the BIGGEST slump ever, I feel guilty because I have so so many books I’m so excited to get to but I physically don’t have the time nor energy to read and I’m so behind on my goodreads goal UGH. On a happier note I passed my driving test today so I’m so excited to go on solo book shopping trips💕

I have been going through one right now and literally any book I would pick, I'd dnf before getting more than 30% into it. 18:59.. I also was sort of disappointed in taming 7 but after sitting on it and thinking about it, I think it was perfect.. we already saw the main characters from the other books so we didn’t need a long story detailing them meeting and stuff but then we also had some glimpses of the other couples too and that was perfect too. The only thing i wish we got was more past pov of Claire and gibs

Thank you❤❤❤ you do an amazing job of describing what you do and don’t like about a book!! I’m so tired of creators saying I didn’t hate it but I’m not obsessed three stars😂😂😂 like so many of them give me a whole lot of nothing about the story, so thank you!! I imagine it’s tricky to stay spoiler free while still giving substance, you are amazing✨

Been thinking about this whole idea of "book slumps" and how these didn't exist like 7-10 years ago. I'm assuming they seem more of a "trend" because A) if you're a booktuber and you literally have to read for your job, of course you're going to start getting into more slumps. Reading stops being this enjoyable and relaxing hobby and becomes more of a way to make money, a side or main hustle, and this weird competitive thing - competitive with your self like with your reading goals and competing with other "faster" readers you see online....and B) the more that you start seeing that book slumps are even a real thing, the more you subconsciously start thinking "oh because I'm not super excited to read right now, that must mean im in a book slump" when in reality maybe you just want to go do something else? It's just a strange reason we've created as a community to beat ourselves up over....anyway. NOTHING against you Destiny, always love your videos! Just wanted to share my overall thoughts on this topic
@highland42Ай бұрын
they’ve always been a thing on booktube more to your first point. regular people in your day to day won’t talk about book slumps but when you come online you’ll see it a lot more. your points are valid but i don’t think anything has necessarily changed
