Attempting to modernize finger waves (this is NOT what I expected)

This three-part video includes my attempt at modernizing finger waves to create a festive/formal hairstyle on my short curly hair in hopes that it would be my style for my sister's wedding! My grandmother was young in the 30s and when I was little I used to play with her old finger wave clips. Her clips were a little different. They had a middle that was stationary but on each side had a claw that would swing out on each side. It made doing them so much easier. But your final look was fabulous.

My favorite recent hairstyle you did was the perfect fall blowout. You made it look so simple and low maintenance, and it made it so much less daunting for me! I don't straighten my hair often, but it is fun to do once in a while (and with minimal damage thanks to your tips). I want to see more of quick wash days and easy curl refreshes/styling. I don't have much time to style my hair in the morning, so a good wash day is essential (although it can be exhausting) and I get tired of the same basic style every day. It would be fun to see easy ways to change it up!

You had it pinned back on one side, and had it full on the other side, with some hair pulled forward for bangs. I've absolutely loved your bob, but that look in particular was my fave!
