Thanks for sharing. it's a very interesting problem. I wonder if you knocked off some components at 4:39 that causes the new syscon error code. It is so strange that after replacing the wifi chip, it causes 3034.

I did knock some away, but I did repopualte all of them before putting back the wifi chip, but may be worth another shot. Didn't give up on it yet!

You fixed it!

Just reball the Cell. 3034 can be caused by both processors. Early Slims (20xx/21xx) are notorious for BGA failure on the CPU, and later Slims (25xx/30xx) for BGA failure on the RSX.

The only thing left to reball at this point! I reballed the SB a few days after the video with no change 😅

Vinicius actually is exactly the oppose, 2000 model PS3 slims use 65nm RSX which heats up to above 83c while 2100 PS3 slims and above uses 40nm RSX and also from 2100 models above they have smaller heatsink, so I think pretty much the 21 and above models are much more CPU wise Bga Defective.

In general what temp do you like to use to clean the BGA pads on the RSX. Been practicing on some junk boards.

What a Ridiculous mindset to say it's a slim so doesn't worth to repair, do you sell Fats with 40nm for Higher Prices than Slims??? And anyone do buy it?? Cause if don't then the fats are not worth more than the Slims.
