dude just set up a side chain compressor and set the release time a little slower ! people really just wanna make everything more difficult than it already is. if you feel like it's not having enough impact, you need to put the side chain on EVERYTHING. people ask how to get punchy drums too, sidechain is the secret. I rarely ever even process my drums and they bang hard as fuck

But like the Porter video, I love this format, how you explain things well but you don't dwell on everything too much.
