@@コノハさん of course, the same kanji/hanzi can have different meanings in both countries, and many have different strokes. but it doesn't change the fact that they're originally chinese characters. the kanji in this video, for example: the 民 in the video can be traced back to the western zhou dynasty. 童? traced back to the zhou dynasty, found on the 毛公鼎 vessel. 取? that exact version he drew is from the warring states period. this was all before kanji was introduced to japan.

@@realsoysauce exactly that's my point but people acting like I dont know this is japanese. 🙄 If this was hiragana or katakana I never wouldve said first person to develop chinese because that's 100% Japan's own creation. I only said first person to develop chinese because i know kanji is literally derived from it and alot of it kept the same meaning and origins that the chinese had. We have Chinese words like mao means cat and Japanese has neko. Both sound different but written in kanji they look exactly the same. I could make a joke about the japanese kanji for cat and still have it say something about the first person to develop chinese blah blah blah and no one wouldve said anything . Edit: I wasnt sure what the Chinese pronunciation was but I put the right one in now. I just took out a sentence that said "I think pin yin means cat" I knew I could be wrong hence why i put i think in there but I'm absolutely 100% sure my edit is correct now.
