I was with my girlfriend for 3 years. After 2 I had to tell her why we were rarely having sex any more: she was getting big, and I'm not attracted to that. Additionally, her physical and mental health was declining. I told her I wanted to lose a bit of weight too, and I loved her so much that I wanted us to make things work, by being calorie conscious and working out together. I caught her messaging her ex (nothing sexual as of yet, but I had made my position clear about this). We had a massive argument and she essentially stated she was looking for sexual attention elsewhere because it wasn't coming from me. I understand that, but I gave her the options, and I reiterated them because I really wanted to stay with her. Soon after she broke up with me. I know I hurt her deeply by telling her the truth, but I showed her the path out of the problem, and she didn't want to take it. Less than a month later she was fucking someone else. I guess I didn't really know her after all.

After that long with no real effort from her to address it, there's only one way to take that: our relationship just isn't worth it to her. And at the end of the day, I can't spend my life in a sexless relationship because of her unwillingness to make an effort and change. It was her unwillingness that made me check out of the long-term possibilities. When we were pressed, she made her priorities clear. And I guess you missed the part about her sleeping around three weeks after we broke up. Something tells me it wasn't about a deep relationship for her.
