I've noticed that his game has drastically changed as he's gotten older. Nowadays he just settles for simpler outcomes such as just going down hill and pulling up or just some backdown fade away scenario. In a way it's not as flashy but definitely more efficient.

I learnt so much from kyrie over the years. He isn't particularly the type of player that manipulates defenses to go for his 'sweet spots'(Chris Paul or Kawhi for example), but he can almost solve every problem the defense gives him. You lure him to his weak side and so he just throws a floater with his weak hand😂. His core idea of being a jack of all trades on the offensive side taught me so much on basketball.
@Free-Night Жыл бұрын

No doubt Kyrie one of the greatest ISO options all the time, great ball handling, great finishing, but I've seen him a lot and recently have got an idea, does he get his partners better? Often when he doubled, we can see how his partners just stand and got no idea what they have to do. He has often attacked two or three opponents, when there is a wide open in the other corner It's very strange for man, which wanted to be one of the greatest point guard ever So I think he can plays much better, if he really wants

Every player has some kind of flaw, like lebron’s inconsistent perimeter shooting, kd’s playmaking at times, ja morant’s shooting, Kobe’s tunnel vision at times, there’s no perfect player in the nba.

Basically most star creators have a package of go to offensive moves and counters that are extremely dominant. Based on how the defense plays them they have a few pass reads out of the package. Over time these reads become automatic for both the creator and his teammates. James Harden was the epitome of this style of playing. Kyrie has no package because there's nothing he can't do at an elite level.. Packages are inherently reductive. Kyrie's whole game is improvisation. Score by doing whatever at any time. What makes Kyrie a genius is he can do everything offensively no matter how difficult at levels of efficiency that still work. No other NBA star could play that way because they cant do everything. Trying to do everything would make them highly unreliable and inefficient. Kyrie is not. But without natural reads for assist passing, Kyrie makes less assists because he rarely reaches the point where the pass is the advantageous play. He almost always still has the advantage to score no matter the situation the defender presents him with. The other thing Kyrie doesnt do is intentionally get to the line. Hes leaving 5 or 6 ppg on the table given his useage right and how much he penetrates to the basket and his his ft percentage.
@abtocool6350 Жыл бұрын
@@JasonLee-fg7qi the fact that kyrie only shot 4 free throws a game is crazy, I promise you if he got there like 7 or 8 times he would average 30, but I don’t know how he could get to the line more especially if the refs don’t give him fouls.
@vandave1517 Жыл бұрын
@@abtocool6350Having a weakness in your game is not an excuse to improve them ,we all saw curry struggle against bigger and stronger players bullying him on the post and look him now especially his games against celtics he can absorb contact against bigger defender and finish it in the rim and there are times that celtics players tries to post him up and he did well holding his ground and not easily gets push off,lebron is way better shooter right now compared to his atheltic prime years on cleveland,funny thing is kyrie and durant weakness are easiest to improve since both kyrie and durant are ellite scorers that can draw multiiple defenders which open up their teammates all they need to do is use their eyes,be a willing passer and trust their teammates,it takes years for curry to gain that strength to hold his ground against bigger defenders whose trying to bully him on the paint as well as absorbing contacts when he is attacking the rim samething with lebron shooting,while kyrie and durant and kyrie weakness which is passing is so easy to improve it does not take that much a time

I think Kyrie is the best purely technical scorer. Other players may rely on height, length, extreme athleticism, strength, or more. He doesn't have that big of an advantage in any of these areas, but he uses what he has perfectly. When you watch him play it feels like he is reading everything the defense gives him perfectly.

You are 1000% right but the next level of understanding Kyrie is understanding he just has a creative mind. Like a rapper blacking out during a freestyle or a dancer snapping in a 1on1 battle. It's not predetermined its not planned its just reading and reacting. He does things he's never practiced every game because h just reads and reacts. In simpler words his bag isn't what he's practiced, his mind is his bag. For most they need to practice the bag where his mind is his bag which is why he's unguardable. Great video 💯
