Hhhhhh. I swear that when the lady was unmuted , I thought it was intentionally part of the presentation and lecture, to test or show our ability to select our attention and filter out the noises.(it was exactly at the time when he presented the “cocktail party” phenomena)

This is fascinating. I've been trying to figure out how the brain aligns and overlays the various schemas (reality, imagination, working memory, geometric grid for shape), and this idea fits very nicely. The frontal cortex isn't just modulating attention, it is perhaps binding various modular components into a unitary consciousness.

Such a lecture is a kind of waste of time. Where is a mechanistic explanation how the attention in implemented in groups of neurons in the brain? Does science know how it works?
