A sweet moment for Rab Havlin considering he was at Robert Sangster's Manton Stables when apprentice jockey to Peter Chapple-Hyam and then to John Gosden when he took over there and then moving and remaining with Gosden ever since. In that time Frankie Dettori, Jimmy Fortune, William Buick and now Kieran Shoemark and others have all been given better opportunities than him despite the length of time he was there. He has often won early races on stable future stars or won on stable second strings that go on to be better than the first string in those races, and yet never seems to retain the rides. He won on Calyx on debut and his record on the horse is a win and a second from two rides. He won on Cracksman on debut and then never rode him again so is 1 from 1 on him. He won on Enable's debut and then never rode her again, he has ridden Logician twice and won and was second, he was the first jockey to win in Mehdaayih and was on for three of her four career wins. He won on Lord North in that horse's first two starts and his record on the horse is 1 1 2 1 2 1 2 and the horse has only won ten times. He won on Palace Pier's handicap debut and is 1 from 1 on the horse and never rode him again. He was the first jockey to win on Stradivarius and then never rode that horse again either and he won on debut on Without Parole and then never rode him again.

Seems like the NH have the same issue as the SH . Jockeys thinking there mounts will catch a horse setting good sectionals . Next thing you know , the race is done . Great ride by the winning jockey and we got great odds down here for Audience also .

This Horse was weak & quirky last year, he has grown & looks massive like his Dad ...Frankel... now in size, watch the race again & look at him compared to others size, he has filled his frame & looks huge like his Grandpa too...Galileo...he ran like a Group 1 Sprinter for 6 furlongs 42MPH at one point, incredible performance

I managed to get 150 matched at 2.3 Top 3 Finish on the Exchange. No way Charyn was gonna be out of the frame. BSP for Top 3 was 1.8 so getting on early and getting it matched was a bonus.

Is Charyn vastly improved from last year or is this a below par Lockinge? Either way, he's the only one to take out of here; what did Inspiral have left to prove coming back out this year? If Gosden plans on upping her trip to middle distances in the UK this year, good luck to him; just because it worked in the States doesn't mean it will translate back home.

Never bet in this race. Said to a friend Big Rock would flop. Shoemark gave Inspiral an horrendous ride, he is definitely no Dettori. I wouldn't let him near that horse again, awful.

What a skinner this was for the bookies. Big Rock beaten 3 furlongs from home. Inspiral never put in the race and another shocker from Shoemark - if you are going to ride a horse cold at least get it some cover. Big Johnny G not worried as the fav was seemingly just out for a run. Been a very strange start to this years flat season so many misfires from the big stables becoming the norm it seems. O'Brien has had a bit of a shocker as well in GB.
