Protektorat is this generations Cue Card. Of all the horses Galopin Des Champs has beat in the Gold Cup, most have went on to be poor. But this horse Protektorat has boosted his legacy imo.

Today has proved to me the racing industry is a rig and that they take it in turns, the last time djelo met donkey rival protektorat he minced him and today it goes the other way this just proves that theres no skill that when your betting your infact guessing what a poor sad un honest sport SHAME !

I was impressed with Protectorat and I think connections must be very satisfied with that performance but Djelo left me very disappointed and maybe it was the manner of his def3eat which was tame and not able to lay a glove on the winner. I thought that if Djelo was beaten today then maybe 1 or 2 lengths max but he was hammered. Surprisingly Royal Pagaille was also a strong favourite at Haydock and with the much needed heavy ground and he was even worse. I know they are only horses but to be honourable defeated is admirable and the name of the game but to give no performance at all is gut wrenching especially for all the each way punters as well as the dual forecast/tricast punters.

Another example of how bent racing is in England. God help anyone who persists with this fraud industry. It's as bent as an s hook. Dog racing is far more genuine. I've seen an outrageous amount of odds on shots and form favourites get chinned in the last few months. It's beyond bent. It's sick what punters have to put up with. Even the stewards are as crooked as the leaning tower of pisa. Changing results to suit themselves.

Protektorat looks better than ever the last 2 seasons. could definitely see him giving Galopin des Champs a run for his money in a Gold Cup at Cheltenham. Yes he`s been 3rd and 5th before but he`s definitely improved. Galopin des Champs is a great horse especially around Leopardstown, but he`s not Arkle, Flying Bolt or Captain Christy. In the last 18 months, Fastor Slow (3 times), Fact to File, Spillanes Tower, and Appreciate It have all beaten him. Looks like between 15- 20 horses might line up for the Ryanair. The Gold Cup may have a similar field to 1992 when only 7 took on Carvills Hill, and we know how that turned out.

So are you saying let`s just hand him the Gold Cup now let him walkover from the Last to the Line and all the other horses run off to the Ryanair Chase?? Is that what we want to see? 3 or 4 runners in the Gold cup and 24 in the Ryanair??
