No history in the Horse Racing industry personally but abousltly loved this interview with honesty/horse psychology and his own family history. What an Aussie legend that has my respect. RIP Mr Cummings

The great man Bart...or boss to me. At 13 i joined Lelani Lodge and worked school holidays and weekends. For me it was like working at a Hollywood studio....all the horses were the stars and some 4o years on i still remember where they were all stabled. Hyperno, Gold And Black,, Ming Dynasty, Elondra Bay, Black Shoes, Kankama, Tynia, Valerian, Lord Folkstone...all stars. And Leon Corstens was a champion bloke and boss....and when the big Boss came by...it was magical, and we would more often than not win.

One of my biggest regrets is not being an owner of one of Bart's horses and the reason being was that was simply too young. What a champion trainer.

Perfect explanation of what it takes to Train 12 Cup winners, there are a lot of ducks to line up before you can even hope for success.......and I have heard Bart interviewed many, many times and this is the first time I have actually heard Bart answer a question with an answer and not another question, i.e when the Health inspector said he had "too many Flies" Bart famously replied...."How many should I have?" that was Bart, he was famous for his one liners but what he was really doing was avoiding giving away any information, in reality he was old school, tell 'em nothing and take 'em no where, he was just as closed lip as Jack Denham but Bart still got the free advertising that TJ got by doing Interviews and not avoiding the Media, just avoiding the answers, he had the best of both worlds

Excellent interview with a straight talking Aussie. A fair few trainers over here (UK & Ireland) who speak with forked tongue could take note.

A straight up man.Born natural with his understanding of horse's. SYT was trained wrong by O 'Brien. Bart knew it but was reluctant to say.Had Bart continued to train SYT oversea , he may very well have become a Breeders Cup winner like his father High Chapparell. .

He sure would have and his 4th in the ARC would most likely have been a win

Just about the best Bart Cummings interview thats been done. I still feel the loss of SYT... he would have won three plates and the cup.

So You Think would of been the first horse to win four Cox Plates.

@@AbsolutelyEverybody1 Yes I agree. He was certainly a superstar not only in looks but deeds on the track. Despite winning 5 group 1's in Europe they never saw the best of him

When Dato Tan made his acceptance speech, he said.. "I must apologize to Viewed" because he thought Bauer had got him. I thought that was great he said that.
