You have a great channel that encourages people to move to the Villages but would you mind shedding a more realistic view of what the Villages is really all about? I watch you guys and I hear all about Candy Land but then I watch Skip and I find that the Villages is more like Chutes and Ladders.

I watch both channels and both are good in their own way. I find Skip to be a realist as well as very funny and informative. I know some think he is negative but I don’t see him that way at all.

I, for one, would love to live in a "Daily Sun" world. Much more pleasant. I stopped reading the paper years ago because it was filled with stories of people's personal tragedies, and I couldn't take it. One of my dreams is to sit out in the morning by my own pool, reading the Daily Sun.

First, this post is rather misleading. It's not a post from Skip-it's from The Florida Villagers-whoever that is. The clip is out of context. However, if you're going to spend roughly half a million dollars (including moving costs), you should know the good, bad and ugly especially since The Villages is expanding. The areas vary greatly and the bargain you might get cost wise might have some negatives in others. Back in 2020, many people decided to get the heck out and move to Florida thinking it was an oasis from the turmoil in the country. Sorry, it doesn't work that way; the politicians in FL are much better at governing but the problems have seeped in and you have to have your eyes open before buying.
