Attribute Transfer, Attribute Copy and ID Attributes - Handy Houdini Tips

In this short Houdini tutorial, we are looking at the differences between the attribute copy node and the attribute transfer node. We are looking at how these two nodes function and what are some use cases for each. Additionally, we look at using ID attributes in Houdini to relate seemingly unrelated geometry.

Solved* Does attribute transfer of the same attribute E.G From say a copy to points with small spheres with "attribute1" on all points copied to a big sphere that has "attribute 1" noise pattern via an attribute randomise give an output that combines both patterns? I've been stuck using a tutorial where an attribute transfer is used but it's only giving me the transferred attributes from the small spheres on the big sphere (I have turned down distance so it very clearly shows that small sphere pattern on the big one), but the noise pattern on the big sphere is lost and I have no idea why. - Just had to make sure my attribute was set to float so they can combine as one was set to vector on accident.. Don't be like me and remember to match attribute types if you want to merge them etc!
