Evening Don. Nice work getting that log on the sliegh. With the snow down, it probably won't be long now, You'll need the snowmobile. I hope that battery work well for you.

Yes the skidoo is out of the shed ! It will be fun but little cool I was out for a little ride yesterday, 4"s not really enough but might try breaking out my trail in a day or two :) These batteries work well for sure, thanks for watching!

Hey Don , I enjoyed the review was nice to see the battery in action !
@littlegriffoffgridalberta683716 сағат бұрын
Yes those batteries are definitely nice and easy to move around ! I had a short video running the freezer but you know what it's like when some just refuse to load :( But they are nice when one replace two camper batteries for even more run time :) Thanks for the comment"

Seeing the snow on the ground gets me excited for winter logging. Hopefully it won't be too much longer here in Maine.

Hey, good morning Don that’s a a nice looking log should get some good lumber out of it. Great review those batteries sure are lightweight. Nice to be able to run your freezer and you’re trolling motor as well. Stay safe, my friend.
@littlegriffoffgridalberta683723 сағат бұрын
Ya nice tree but man it's heavy, I'll be using the jack method for lifting the other bottom log for sure :) Yes those batteries are not had to move around & two have the same storage as the Bluetti, That's what I was kinda looking at before I got the power station, It will sure be nice for my trolling motor come June :)) Thanks for watching

Well, Don, whenever I come up for a visit, we will grab you some logs together. Hurt my back watching you get that log on there lol

Thanks ! Yes 16" & green 700-800lbs ?? heavy they are, Did you get your mill leveled good & get some practice done on some fence boards ? Thanks for the comment"

How you doing Don? I was trying as hard as I could to help you from my comfy Lazy Boy this morning Mr. That log was testing your skills but it didnt stand a chance once you got going. You got the log loaded and you ended with a new teaser to your next video. Crafty. Hey good score on that battery and perfect fit for your channel. Good work on the promotion clip. Good job. Lets hope we get some more snow for your trail setting. That sleigh you used will be perfect to set your trail. Thanks Don

Yes it was a heavy one & I forgot my cant hook, I really didn't think it be that heavy but probably 800lbs, WE need more snow I was out for a little ride today to test my finger at -18 lol, Maybe breaking trail tomorrow :) Ya couple more batteries like that would be awesome ! Thanks for the comment

Necessity always finds a way, Too bad you didn't have a cant hook to get that log on the sleigh. Take care.

Yes I kinda went unprepared lol, Next time it comes with me ! & the skidoo instead of ATV :) Thanks for watching, stay warm"

Great job on the log loading technique. Would your sled benefit from some sort of removable posts so that you can load one end, then slot in a post to stop it rolling off the edge while you work on the other end? I find that when I’m at the cabin, there’s a lot more troubleshooting when I don’t have the right tools with me as well :)
@littlegriffoffgridalberta683712 сағат бұрын
Mostly when you get older & you forget to bring the cant hook or another strap lol ! 200yards from the mill, It probably weighs 800lbs ones brain just says oh it shouldn't be to bad right :) Dad always said you'd rather break your back to save your legs lol :) Thanks for watching

Hey Don! Funny how round logs sometimes don't want to roll. I don't know if I might have missed one of your videos but I don't recall if you got your moose.
@littlegriffoffgridalberta683716 сағат бұрын
Ya two little branches stuck in the ground didn't help but I think close to 800lbs & I just didn't have enough grunt without a pole lol, Forgot to take my cant hook... Brain part :) next time ! Track soup not much flavor lol, I just had way to much going on the last couple weeks of the season & I don't like to say it but the cabin was more important, Thanks for watching"
@KenC4916 сағат бұрын
@littlegriffoffgridalberta6837 when you cut limbs off leave one a couple feet long still attached. You can use that as a lever to roll the log over to get to the bottom ones easier. An old man's trick to the trade.

Hi Don. Good one 👍🏻 So, how low of voltage can the diesel heater run on ? Do you have to clean your solar panels of dust dirt and grime every now and then to produce the best power ? Did you get any of the snow storm in Saskatchewan and Alberta the last day or so, or are you to far north. Have a great day 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋🪵🪓🔥
@littlegriffoffgridalberta683723 сағат бұрын
I use wood most of the time so haven't went below 11v yet but heater uses very little power with that small fan, No I let mother nature clean the panels unless we have snow that sticks, Usually the panels get a little warm with the sun & I keep them pretty straight up the snow fall off, some times I just sweep if I get time :) Ya it was a different storm that hit Sask & Manitoba , Thanks for watching"

Howdy Don- that log didn’t wanna roll up on your sled. When you’re working by yourself sometimes it’s a chore. Take care and God bless
