Why didn't we directly import the solid model from solidworks or catia into ansys ? why did u import the line model ? can you explain me the assumptions considered between line model and solid model? do we have advantage with line model ? It would be very helpful if u can explain the above questions clearly . thank you

did u find it? I think Ansys has a limitation where 2 cross sections cant be in one part. I'm stuck here as well.

Go to MenuBar>Concept and add the 2 cross-sections - Primary & Secondary as per your decided dimensions. The, use controls button and select the primary members using the mouse, assign primary cross section in the dialog box. Repeat the same for secondary members. Voila !!!

At 20:40, note that there is a warning sign (yellow tick mark near import sign which means connections are not established fully). This means the further results we get as we do analysis won't be accurate as the connections haven't been established fully.

it will be a problem in imported geometry it might have multiple elements check for extra members and try again you will get

when saving in iges, there is 'options' below file format, click that and untick solid and surface and tick sketch?curves, better choose b-splines

Go to save as option click igs then select advanced after that click on wireframes instead of surface and finally click checkbox of bsplines below it. Also click datum and those 4 checkbox at the start if you want.
