ATV Snow Plowing Video | Plowing Lots of Snow on Long Driveway

Best advice I have heard about needing to plow with an ATV plow while the snow is light and fluffy. The wench plow floats on the snow, and if you wait a day for the snow to melt a little then freeze. Your plow,no longer goes through the snow,but rather it rides on to. You need a fixed plow or a front loader to plow through packed snow or ice. An ATV plow only works on fresh snow

Yes, that’s true, we get to it right away. Sometimes though the snow come down heavy (we call it snowman making snow) and we have to plow it too. It’s harder to do, but it gets done

Here In Kentucky we dont get much snow anymore, we did when i was a kid, like your video, every year.. last 20 years not so much... but im wishing for a big one this year so i can snow plow w my 4 wheeler, one of my favorite things to do in winter. Loved the video, thanks for sharing !!!

We used to have a quad with a plow then we moved to the country and realized that wasn’t going to cut it. So I ended up getting a cheap plow from a buddy to put on my heavy duty truck and now I plow all our neighbors drives for them when we get big snows. Which last year we only had 1 so I’m hoping this year we have a lot more plowable snows here in Iowa!! Fun video tho….brought back lots of memories. 😂

Our set up is great for our acreage. Plowing snow is lots of fun, as long as it isn’t too cold. A heated cab would be nice on those cold days.

That plow seems to work pretty well on the Eiger...is it the Koplin switchblade?? I have the same ATV; could you tell me how hard it was to mount the plow to the Eiger. Was there any special bracket needed? Thanks!

I don’t know the brand of the blade, but it has 5 settings, straight, and two each direction. We did need to install a mounting bracket underneath, but that came with the blade. The U bolts do stick out a bit, and reduce some of the clearance when off road quading. It has been a very good set up for us.
